References to the West/Ward Batman movie AND the Miller All-Star debacle, all in one issue. Whodathunkit?!?
Timothy is of course my boy, and you are handling him about as well as can be expected. Noticed the tie in with New Outsiders as well.
What IS up with the Joker? Scares the heck outta me. He's almost certainly working for someone else. As for Penguin, I think he would be even more dangerous wheelchair-bound. Wouldn't be the first time that happened, eh?
I feel no sympathy for Two Face, but I'm as shocked as he is. What the heck is going on?!
Five stars.

Pitch-perfect beautiful. That's what this issue was. Virtually every scene was a delight unto itself, from Bruce "picking out" his tux to the little in-jokes scattered throughout. How can you keep hitting this stuff out of the park like that? BTW congrats on reaching the fabled milestone of "Detective Comics #27". As with the other one that shares the name, this book was priceless.

References to the West/Ward Batman movie AND the Miller All-Star debacle, all in one issue. Whodathunkit?!? I was trying to figure out a way to bring in the Wonder Twins, but I just couldn't figure out how to do it. It's funny, Jay, but nearly every line I write with that character, is with you in mind. HA! I keep thinking, "Can't screw this up, Jay will kill me." ;D As for the New Outsiders tie in, well, I always love having this Universe overlap and since I'm very good friends with the writer and Editor of New Outsiders, I thought the tie in would work. By the way, the Editor is great, the writer, Glad that Joker's even more bizzare and scary. For more clues, keep reading this and Batman. Things are going to get a LOT scarrier. And Penguin is going to have a big role in this chapter of Gotham's underworld. No sympathy for Two-Face?! Geez, his wife throws acid on him and you can't feel sorry for him! Thanks for reading and responding, my friend. It's greatly appreciated.

I'm going to have to check out Detective Comics #27 now, cause I have no clue what you mean. I hope I can impress you next month, as well.

You're kidding, right Brian? Detectove # 27 was the very first appearance of old pointy ears.

LOL! I know! And I don't know if anyone noticed or not, but in tribute of that issue, I purposely left Batman out of this issue.

Well it's hard for me to say more than I've stated in letters about past issues... this was another GREAT issue that just feels RIGHT. So much of it clicks that I have to wonder if it can get any better. A couple of particular points in the issue to touch upon: 1 - The conversation between Bruce and Alfred was PICTURE PERFECT. The exchanges about Bruce's date and the tux was priceless. I laughed out loud during it. 2 - Something is off about the Joker... and it makes him as creepy as ever. The reference to the Batman movie from the 60s was great. (One of my most often used movie quotes when I was young was: "Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb!") 3 - The exchange between Bruce and Selina was also prefection. You have a great ear for the voices of these characters. 4 - Eating dead rats huh? Would the goddamn Batman make him do that? 5 - Fairly ironic that what was once the first ever appearance of Batman had no Batman sightings in it (even the cover only has a shadow). Another five star job. Just flat out fun. So... WHERE'S ISSUE # 28 ALREADY!?!?!? ;D

There's just not enough of Selina, I'm hoping to rectify that. the goddamn Batman... yes. Batman the hero... nope. I thought it would be unique, and wasn't that an awesome cover! Thank you for ready and taking the time to comment, as always, I really appreciate it and look forward to your reaction. And 28 is in the process of creation, as we speak. You might want to check out the next issue of Batman as well. The next storyline is going to run through both books.

Excellent issue. A great follow-up to the recent events, while laying some wonderful groundwork for future storylines. The mystery of the Joker is a wonderful one to watch unfold, definitely a unique twist so far in his appearances. The little in-jokes were wonderful, and the emotion for Tim and Alfred was fantastic. I'm a huge Tim fan, and I'm liking his story a lot so far. Can't wait to see it continue on.
A great job, and real depth to our stars. I can't wait for the next installment.
Take care Don

Brian, I've spent the afternoon at work armed with the last 6-7 issues of Tec and all I can say is BRAVO! I'm loving the entire storyline (and highlighting key character points as I go) and just having FUN with this. Excellent!
