Ah, this is the prologue that The Return deserved, establishing the new lay of the Gotham Underworld, whilst giving Dick the send off he deserved, too!
Loads of references here to classic DC2, Arthur Brown/Riddler being one (I remember that being one of the untold stories I always intended to get round to, back when telling mindtwisty narratives was all I had in my head and not the ability to deliver).
Great to see that all those threads we laid when we were writing the books last year haven't been forgotten, and I look forward to your run on Batman, Alex!
One weakness was the Batman, Inc-esque ending. It was a nice moment but I feel like any momentum from that moment was lost due to it running so closely to the current status quo of DC. I always feel DC2 is at it's best when we subvert expectations but also anticipate developments, so this would have been a great punctuation moment if it had run when we had planned.
