I just want to say now, I've been waiting for this miniseries for what feels like years, and that I intend to read the issue before Wednesday comes round again.
I'm sorry I've not read it already,
Charlie.

I have to say that I have really been looking forward to this series for years. Really. I really did enjoy the tail end of Mark's run on Teen Titans and this is a continuation of themes from that, but with a whole new angle that I find fascinating. Right, so, how did the issue shape up?
Brilliantly. Mark, the story that Boris and yourself has conjured is top notch, and delivered with mastery. You two make a devilishly talented team and the package of cover and words is some of the best I've seen on site for a while. The story is great, and the character of Yu, who I don't think had enough spotlight shone on him back in the day, is fascinating-- and that last sequence "You're not what you're supposed to be" was spooky and terrifying at the same time.
I'll be back next issue, because if the first is anything to go by, this series is going to be a delight. Let's just hope you haven't peaked too early, yes?
Charlie.

Cake fight! Okay. I had to get that out of the way first. Great issue, Mark, Mark and I look forward to seeing how Yu develops as a character. You have done a good balancing job between the silliness of the Stagg family and Java and some of the more "realistic" elements (ha! I kill myself!) at play here. BTW *loved* KAT and I was having Knight Rider flashbacks (that's a good thing!). Wonder how long it'll be before Urania gets exposed to the Orb of Ra and becomes Element Girl? It's already been established in the Challengers mini-series that she (or at least someone named "Urania") does and hooks up with Multi-Man but there has been some universe altering events since then.

Everything I thought it would be and more. Mark has quite a unique style that harkens somewhat to Douglas Adams. He and Riz have started something that borders on brilliance here. Beautiful cover as well. Can't wait for the next issue.

Thanks for the kind words, Charlie. Didn't mean for the last sequence to be spooky or terrifying, but glad it turned out that way. I peaked years ago (just trying to avoid troughing now), whereas Boris seems to be on a permanent peak, so guess everyone's just going to have to read the next issue to find out whether this issue a peak or not. Cake fight! Okay. I had to get that out of the way first. Great issue, Mark, Mark and I look forward to seeing how Yu develops as a character. You have done a good balancing job between the silliness of the Stagg family and Java and some of the more "realistic" elements (ha! I kill myself!) at play here. Thanks, James. Yeah, KAT's very Knight Ridery. As for Urania being exposed to the Orb of Ra, you won't have to wait too long at all for that, though her hooking up with Multi-Man is far from imminent. Everything I thought it would be and more. Mark has quite a unique style that harkens somewhat to Douglas Adams. He and Riz have started something that borders on brilliance here. Beautiful cover as well. Can't wait for the next issue. Thanks for the Douglas Adams comparison, Brian, though I think it's mainly my skill at meeting deadlines that harkens back to him. Glad you liked the issue, and, yeah, Riz's cover was beautiful.
