I'm a big fan of Pat's work on Aquaman, and this is a great book that goes hand-in-hand with not only that, but DC2 Nemesis as well, go figure. When I wanted to expand upon events in the main mini, I didn't want to simply do it myself, I thought that was too easy, instead I went out and spoke to people that knew the characters that were going to play an extra juicy role, or people who I knew wanted to have a shot at a character for ages (you'll see what I mean in July). This was an awesome issue. It gives a major tease to Aquaman's appearance in DC2 Nemesis #3 and is for all intents and purposes a fantastically written fight scene. I didn't even know it was possible to keep the action and tension up for so long, but this entire issue was a barn storming battle from start to finish. Of course it leads into #3 but it established Arthur's character succinctly. I hope my characterisation and writing of the King of the Seas stands up to this!

Wow! Talk about about a battle royal! I wasn't sure how this was going to end. That was one mighty nasty creature. Throwing Orin as far as he did shows that it's not to be messed with. Very well written and a really fun read. Nemesis keeps moving right along and I'm enjoying every bit of it. Great job with story and cover, folks! Now I can rest a bit... what? Issue 3 is out already. Geez, I'm not getting a break at all here.

Wow I totally forgot to check the comments page It was very fun writing this story because the only thing I thought once I got the sneak peek at the conclusion in #3 was...giant monster kicking all sorts of ass ;D and not being able to be stopped. When I was coming up with the fight I really was going for just the idea of a Godzilla ripping through a city and the military attempting to destroy it but being totally helpless. It was an blast to be able to be involed with this event!
