What a beautiful little interlude!
It's nice to see the calm before the all-out storm coming in Nemesis #7 next week--- though there was still plenty of action and drama in this quick, fun little read.
This issue gave me the impression of holding one's breath before the big moment... The Metropolites clinging to life, the Daily Planeteers anxious for Calrk... and Kara finally getting a part to play!
At first when I heard the title, I thought it had something to do with Nekron, but now it makes much more sense. SPOILERS BELOW----
The "death" of Superman was well-handled and this "return" makes perfect sense! Stupid Black Sun and its toxic radiation!
I love how this issue ends on the one defiant word: "Fight." Really gets you revved up for the conclusion!
And that cover! It has a beautiful, dream-like quality that dwells just on the edge of a nightmare (thus, ideal for this issue)). Gorgeous!
Five stars! Bring on the finale!

What a beautiful little interlude! Thank you! I struggled to write this-- it went through many versions, as Don can attest to when I continuously complained to him about the troubles I've had writing this thing... It's nice to see the calm before the all-out storm coming in Nemesis #7 next week--- though there was still plenty of action and drama in this quick, fun little read. Glad you enjoyed it! This issue gave me the impression of holding one's breath before the big moment... The Metropolites clinging to life, the Daily Planeteers anxious for Calrk... and Kara finally getting a part to play! Yeah, Kara was always intended to come back and play a role, and this was it. It was hinted at in the Superman Prologue, and in the mid-break through the series itself. Glad I had some time to delve into some Crisis moments from the past-- New Gods, Starros, very fun moments for the entirety of the Superman cast. At first when I heard the title, I thought it had something to do with Nekron, but now it makes much more sense. SPOILERS BELOW---- Hee... The "death" of Superman was well-handled and this "return" makes perfect sense! Stupid Black Sun and its toxic radiation! Phew, pleased this wasn't considered a leap, as it was planned from Day One, even if this issue went through loads of different writers, and different writers! I love how this issue ends on the one defiant word: " Fight." Really gets you revved up for the conclusion! Brilliant, again, glad you liked that. I knew I had to end it on a defiant note, and I couldn't think of anything better than that one word. And that cover! It has a beautiful, dream-like quality that dwells just on the edge of a nightmare (thus, ideal for this issue)). Gorgeous! Yes, very pleased to have that as a cover. Five stars! Bring on the finale! Thank you, Dave!

I really enjoyed this issue. Charlie does a great job in establishing an apocalyptic mood, getting feelings of dread and hopelessness very well. It was real nice to see Kara and Steel here, and like Dave said, the return made sense (lots of returns lately).
The cover is fantastic. Dave mentioned it's dream like essence, which really came across in this issue. I wonder if it had any influence on the writing?
Great job as always Charlie.

I really enjoyed this issue. Charlie does a great job in establishing an apocalyptic mood, getting feelings of dread and hopelessness very well. I always laugh and get a wee bit worried whenever Brian says I write madmen well, and I just had the same reaction to that comment, Alex. Cheers for that ;D Seriously though, it's always fun to just put this overwhelming darkness over a fictional world, to see how people would react, to insert what scares you and what makes you feel dread. Nemesis is one big phobia trip... It was real nice to see Kara and Steel here, and like Dave said, the return made sense (lots of returns lately). Glad you enjoyed it. Steel came to the forefront, and it became this brilliant little "survival" horror story, instead of the original, unwieldy story I had in mind before. Really pleased it's been well received so far. The cover is fantastic. Dave mentioned it's dream like essence, which really came across in this issue. I wonder if it had any influence on the writing? Totally. Great job as always Charlie. Thanks for taking the time to edit and to leave feedback, dude! Always appreciated!

I have loved every part of this so far. This has been a great mini series. With that said, I have to be very honest with you here, Charlie...
THIS ROCKED!!!! I felt this! I felt every characters thoughts and feelings.
The fact that this was such a wonderful tribute to the people of Metropolis, as well as the main man himself, as the best part of this. I mean, let's face it, Superman is THE top of the heap.
The cover is beautiful as well. Love the cape.
5 stars!

I'm glad you've liked the event so far, and I hope that #7 lives up to your expectations. THIS ROCKED!!!! I felt this! I felt every characters thoughts and feelings. I'm glad, the moments with the residents of Metropolis were ones I really enjoyed writing. The fact that this was such a wonderful tribute to the people of Metropolis, as well as the main man himself, as the best part of this. I mean, let's face it, Superman is THE top of the heap. Too true, Brian The cover is beautiful as well. Love the cape. Totally, great cover. Cheers!
