Hey everyone. I just wanted to say a few words now that the first arc is done.
When I first got the green light for the series, I wrote the first three issues (0-2, and I might as well include my one issue contribution to the DC Challenge) one right after the other. I think they flowed together very well and developed things exactly where I want to take them. Between issues 2 and 3, I had a lot of turmoil in my personal life and between that and starting a new job with more responsibilities than i've ever had, I lost a lot of the momentum I felt I had writing issues 0 - 2, so when things began to get normal, I had a hard time finding my zone writing the last two issues and feel a little unfulfilled about them.
Regardless, I stand behind my work and I am very proud of it. I also feel like I got my stride back writing the next issue and coming up with a long term direction for the nuclear man.
I'd like to thank The DC2 community for making me feel welcome and for creating a place for people to share their visions. To the artists. Borize, micron and Mischief. You guys have me in awe of your abilities and I feel grateful and honored to have had you lending your talents to the book. I'd like to than Brian, for his continued support and feedback as well as anyone who has read Firestorm so far. And lastly, Mark, who gave me the opportunity and has been a guide though this journey. I hope you get your Indigo Power Ring soon.
For those who haven't read, #5 is a good jumping on point for the series. I like what i've come up with so far, and hope you do as well. The best is yet to come!
Thanks Everyone!
Alex

This first arc has been a pleasure to read, and Danton was a cool villain that I enjoyed, mostly because he was more of the Profs enemy than Ronnie's.
This was a great beginning arc for DC2's Firestorm, and I'm looking forward to what you have next for our transmuting hero.
Oh, also loved the use of the Thangarian mace. Brought a grin to my face.

Thank you for the kind words Brian. I appreciate you leaving feedback for me, it means a lot. Danton will be back in a big way later on to cause more havok on Ronnie and Martin.
The mase thing was inspired by reading JSA#1. Thank you Dave for that.
