What did you think of this people?
I LOVED it, and hate that I have to follow up with another arc after Mizzer David Charlon's #6. Crikey, you had me gripped!

Great. Best issue. Just I didn't understand almost all of the scientific words. But still great.

And it's a slam dunk!
This was great Brandon! You really give Barry that true Silver Age feel. I hope you enjoyed writing it as much as I did reading it.

This was... AMAZING!!! It is everything I want out of a Flash story, it exemplified Barry's character and kept me at the edge of my seat. Brandon, I am proud to say that you helped me work on my writing. This was some of the best fanfiction I have ever read.

This was simply unbelievable. First, you dazzle me with a great cover. Then, you blow me away with a fantastic, real Silver Age story. I couldn't ask for any more. Keep up the good work!

Yay! I'm so happy that everyone seems to have enjoyed the story so far. I was really anxious for this one to come out because I loved this concept. I wanted to share it but also was really curious what kind of reaction it would get since it was a little off the wall. I couldn't be happier! Now for the individual comments: Charlie (HoM): Thanks, man! I've been right here with you on this one since the start and can't wait to see how you finish your Time Flies arc! Just a quick note though, David has stepped aside next issue to allow Imp to have a turn instead. So everyone be sure to watch for that! Tlbauer: Thanks for the compliment! I really appreciate it. Zoom: A lot of the science stuff in this issue was me playing fast and loose with some real world theories. Check out this entry for more info on zero-point energy: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zero-point_energyIt's a little thick but it covers the whole range of the photon/kinetic/zero-point connection. ;D Brian (starlord): Thanks! You know "retro progressive" is what I'm all about! Ha. I really did enjoy writing this story. Having had it in my brain in some form or another for around seven years it's my oldest fan fic idea. Writing it was almost a relief! Chase (deadshot): Wow! Thanks for the very kind words. Collaborating on DP with you has been fun and I can't wait for the first issue to come out. Now if I can only squeeze in time for that cover! Apprentice: Thank you sir!

Thanks for the offer, Ramon, but I really want to do this one. If I can't get it done this weekend though I might have to take you up on that.

Oh, right, and wasn't doctor Spectro's name Roy B. Giv?

Ha. I went with his traditional name instead to cut down on confusion and it worked better. Roy G. Bivolo was Rainbow Raider and it just didn't work when I was writing it.

Where the heck have you been hiding this, Brandon?!?! I was absolutely blown away by this story--- your best work, yet, and one of the best issues on the site!
This is a perfect example of just how cool a superhero story can be: a villain with a nefarious plan (but "good intentions"); a clever, noble hero; some good, old-fashioned speculative science (I'm impressed, btw!); and a neat twist with the jump into the furure!
Nice cameos by Jay and (I am forced to admit) Ray Palmer, without having to resort to guest-stars stealing the spotlight--- Barry was the hero of this piece! And you nailed his personality, especially in the end during his exchange with Wally.
And just what was that subtle piece of foreshadowing at the end--- could it be that there is a crisis on the horizon, that dark days are coming for the Flash?

Ha. Thanks Scott. I had a lot of fun with this one. It's not everyday you get to have the hero kinda sorta help destroy the planet and it not be a problem! ;D I went over the story again to weed out the extras typos (I thought I had found them all already! Mark, where are you when I need you?! Ha.) and was reminded of this: The number I used for the year- 5,023,891,301 C.E. -was actually my phone number when I was growing up. The area codes have changed since then and I have no idea who has that number now so I figured it would be okay. Okay, like anyone cares but now you know!

But the real question is: What does the CE stand for?

Common Era. It's a newer non-religion oriented way of designating years. Common Era and Before Common Era I think. I just thought since it was all futuristic and non-partial it would be good one to use.

BTW, Brandon, mind if I join S.T.A.B.D.O.H.? I've developed a love for Atom recently and really wanna see him developed in the DC2. So you'd better not kill him off, D...*grumbles moodily*

Sure! Ha. I'm actually going to do an Atom story somewhere in the next few months if I can get it all together. It'll be a sort of whacked out sci-fi story like this issue of the Flash (the explanation of how the Atom's powers work alone should earn that description ) so be on the look out for it. And thank you for your support. STABDOH is proud to have you!

That's right. You can't keep a good (little) man down. Just watch, this all-new Atom from DC? Just a flash in the pan till Ray ready to roll again.

This was a very cool story. I had very different ideas of how he would disarm the bomb, but none of them were as cool as yours. The ending was even better, though it took me a minute to understand what had happened. Anyways, good job, This is one of the best issues on DC2 that I have read so far.

You people should all be ashamed of yourselves! Taking over this thread to do nothing more then promote your own stuff, is shameless! You don't see me mentioning The New Outsiders #5 that comes out this Wednesday, with cover by Ramon, and edited by our own markymark, do you? Or how next months issue will focus on Green Arrow and Black Canary and is a very special issue that came from the heart...do you? No, I'm above all that. And you all should be too!
