Thank you Charlie for delivering one helluva fast paced issue to cap your run on this title. I know you have one more Flash tale to tell but imagine it will be different given the circumstances of this issue. The cover was amazing Borize! I believe this was your second Crisis cover? You are a true talent my friend! I could think of tons of things to say here about love and sacrifice and how cool the Flash is. But truth be told, Charlie already did all of that and more with this issue!
I also can't go without mentioning Kevin's kick-ass banner for this week, his second. The image truly helped tell the story here and another feather in the cap for the art team that along with the writers have most certainly given their all for this event. Ladies and gentlemen, give yourselves a big round of applauses!

Great cover.
Enjoyed the story, although I wasn't sure how the Flashes could create friction (don't they have an aura to prevent all that physics malarkey so they don't go setting fire to roads and such) and also surprised that skidding Darkseid's son through cities didn't cause untold numbers of deaths to people getting in the way.

Great Flash issue. Perhaps one of the best I have read.

The nice thing about this issue is that with all the Crisis hype, and the foreboding around Barry, the ending was still cool. Sucks to lose a hero, though ( )--- not gonna spoil it! People need to read this issue! What with the big death in Action #8, the main character shot in the head in Suicide Squad #7 and now the death of... you know! The Crisis has been a real bloodbath! And the title was an homage to the COIE issue where the Flash dies--- with an obvious little change (anyone catch it?)!

Really good story here, HoM.
You kept the tension high from begining to end. Honestly, I didn't like how you started the story, but about halfway through you sold me. Arguably, that actually makes it a better read and a harder task for the writer. Good job.
Now you got me craving to see how the rest of this crisis unravels!

Aww come on! Just because it's a crisis, didn't mean you had to do it! Did it?
This was a great story to end the week with. Idle is right, this Crisis is starting to look like a blood bath! I've said it before, HoM, and I'll say it again, your talent is limitless! Excellent job, Sir!

The Crisis keeps rolling on! Great issue! Not so happy with the death of a favorite of mine but hey at least it wasn't ***** ( hey, no spoilers here). One of the things I like about the DC2 is that Barry is still around as the Flash. In my opinion DC really missed a great opportunity to do something all the fans have been screaming about for 20 years! They needed to bring Barry back and leave Bart as Kid Flash.Nicely done!

I read the story two days ago and I'm still depressed. WHY Charlie? ? But I have to agree with Brian. You did an excellent job on this story.

This death came at me outta left field -- while I had heard certain rumors going about months ago, I misunderstood them, so I still got a surprise. Good work, Cholly-boy, you sure know how to kill folks.

Charlie I dont know how you keep up. You write quite a bit here and stay consistently good. Week after week you knock it out of the park. Good job!

Aw, poor Jay! What a sad but marvelous issue.
Barry's final battle with Gravyn was SOOO satisfying.

I have to agree, this issue was an excellent cap to a superb run! I believe this is the first time that this particular character has died... I don't count the whole Ragnarok business in the 80's.
The thing that really sucks though is that Flash deaths seem to be the only permanent types in the DCU... will we ever see him again?

Oh sorry, let's keep the hope alive.
Maybe.
If you start posting your thoughts about the DC2 in the appropriate letter threads.
ONLY THEN WILL JAY RETURN!
Or you could check out The Flash Annual #1...
... To see why he's dead.
It's got Kid Eternity in.
