Wow. All around great stuff. Excellent cover and a solid and riviting storyline.
I'm going to guess that Mal is much more than he seems... or might become at least... seeing what his last name is.
I also think the little lightening in Bart might not be what we think either... perhaps Bart's just starting to show his opwn possible powers?
Great job here charlie and Mike. Looking very foward to the next issue!

Thanks to a good old case of insomnia, I finally got a chance to read this. I enjoyed it very much. It had some very good moments and the villain in his story intrigues the hell out of me, as does Barry's new partner. My only concern now is that I hope this story continues, because I'd hate to be left hanging. Also, the cover to this was beautiful. I mean, really amazing work. Great job, everyone!

I know I'm *MONTHS* late but, hey, I only just got here after all. And besides, the schedule seems to be back on track as of December anyway. In any case, I love the Flash and was very interested in the DC2 character and I greatly enjoyed this issue. Barry Allen is still the one true Flash to my mind (Though I've grown to accept Wally) so it's great to to see him wearing the scarlet and the lightning where he belongs! This issue was pretty decently written overall, and I had no major problems with the writing aspect of it. I'll admit, mysterious foes like this are never my favourites- call me old fashioned, but I prefer the Rogues, but this was written as well as such a storyline can be. The ending was a definite hook surprise, which was VERY well done, and I can't wait to see where you go with this. One thing I noticed about your writing style is that you never fall into the writer's trap of using "said" too much. I know it's a minor point, but in general the way the dialogue was delivered was organic- usually without a verb, since we could tell who was talking anyway, and that worked well for a dialogue-heavy issue. If I was to deliver a criticism, it would be this; Wally and Jay holding back before engaging seemed a bit contrived. It seemed done more to let the story play out in the way it did than for any practical reason; Jay may be cautious but I think either Wally would zoom in there without a second thought or else Jay would at LEAST want to check it out. It seemed like plot convenience more than anything. That minor quibble aside, well done, and I'll check out the next issue for sure.

Thanks for the feedback, Merai!
And also, apologies, as Mike and I won't be able to deliver #22 this month! We're hoping to push for a January release, but the real world has got in the way of getting this issue out.
