Really nice issue and you can feel the tension building. Although I've always enjoyed the rogues (are we going to see Pied Piper anytime in the near future?), this prison warden is kicking it old style!
There's a lot of pieces here that are slowly being drawn together, and I really love that. It's not easy to pull off, at least not for me, and Kevin is doing a great job at it.
But man the tension is thicker than the foggiest day in London.
I'm really looking forward to what is coming down the road!

Wolfe is a large threat indeed... not least because he's one Barry doesn't know about, and certainly not someone he can punch in the face! As I've noted before, the Rogues are my favourite villains in all of comicdom... but... well, between quite a few big stories, the Rogues have seen heavy use on the DC2. Not that the stuff wasn't fantastic- Seb in particular did some really interesting things with them- but I felt that to really feel the full benefit of the Rogues, we needed to be without them for a while (At least the main group). But that time is nearly up- and the Rogues will be returning in a BIG way at some point next year. And yes, Pied Piper will be there... and some very interesting things will be happening with him! Thanks for the praise, Brian! The upcoming Flash mega-story is pulling together pieces from the entire Flash series so far- particularly where Seb left off- so I've really just built from their rock solid foundations- but, the payoff is just around the corner! TENSION is the watchword of the series alright! Strange as it may seem, it's actually been a year and a half since the first hints at Thawne (Issue #16!), so it was crucial that tension be built alright. Because.... you know it... change gonna come!  Always delighted to hear your feedback Brian, and I hope you enjoy everything that's coming up! |

As always I have to play catch up reading the titles I want to read!!
Barry may not be able to punch this guy in the face, but I am sure he's gonna get what's coming to him!!!
And I certainly enjoyed the rogues, and all our fast friends!!

As always I have to play catch up reading the titles I want to read!! I know how you feel- in fact, it's only through very bad luck I haven't had time to read Titans yet! Heheheh... he might, he might indeed... on the other hand, Barry has an awful lot to be dealing with right now on the horizon, and Wolfe may soon be the least of his worries! I hesitate to use the comparison, but given how his life will be going soon enough, Barry will soon be envious of Daredevil! Glad to hear it, and I always enjoy your comments, Jay.  |

Because someone is a picky sonofabitch, I need to reiterate:
This was one Hell of a wild ride, full of twists and turns, and the building of the Warden as an enemy was indescribable. I've always thought Wolfe started out terrifying, but whenever out of John's hands, he turns into pantomime (Outsiders, much?) but you've got the terrifying down to a pat. Loved the Rogues' discovery of the evidence, and all in all, this is one of the tightest issues of your run.
Anyone who doesn't read this book eats babies.
Seriously.

Well, while- as we saw in this issue- Wolfe's actions have snowballed out of his own control, he'll be playing a big role in the book going forward- and probably not in the way you'd expect.... and definitely not in a way Barry will like! Thanks- and yes, the Rogues' discovery of the evidence will propve absolutely CATASTROPHIC for everyone's favourite scarlet speedster- as will be seen in only a month or so now! You always come up with the best taglines. Seriously, that should be on every cover. |
