As this epic storyline begins, please, tell us what you think!

Fan-freakin'-tastic.
It really does feel like threads from the last three years worth of stories are coming home to roost in this arc.
Love the supporting cast (especially Jay), and the Rogues have never been so dangerous (especially Grodd)--- but this is Barry's story, and I love that.
This first issue was taut and thrilling. I was on the edge of my seat from the first paragraph. The stakes feel like they've never been higher, and I am worried for Our Heroes!
Like I said last issue: the Flash has never been hotter! Well done, Kevin!
(Looking forward to seeing the cover!)

(Looking forward to seeing the cover!) I thought the cover was already posted when the issue posted. I guess everyone is just so used to me being late... they expect not seeing a cover.

Sorry, Doc, I should have been clearer: I can't view images from workstations on the road, so I have to wait until I get home to appreciate the cover that is posted. Though if it's from you, I'm sure it is double-awesome ;D.

WOW! WOW! WOW!
This is one magnificant story! Much of what I'm thinking, Dave already said, so I'll just reiterate that the writing on this is awesome, and the PLOTTING for this Flash event has got to be one of the tightest I've seen on the board in the last 4 years.
People need to be reading this! Everyone needs to be reading this! Someone call Didio, HE needs to be reading this!
The covers, of course, are just as magnificant. Keep it up crew and this could be THE Flash story of this site!

AWESOME!!! Great work Kevin! I loved the way you expressed how Wally was feeling on his first solo run through the city. He was very nervous but trying to keep his cool at the same time. It's fantastic so far so keep writing and I'll keep reading!

Wow, ok, so it begins, right? After the positive 10/10 installement last month, there's always that chance that the quality of the story might go down hill, but this kept the tensions high, and whilst there wasn't as much "I'm evil because I'm good" characterisation, this was brilliant. I'm really struggling to find anything wrong with this book since you took over. The only thing I've got left are personal attacks Keep up the good work, Kevin.

Well, dammit.
I hate this book, I hate the author, I hate reading it.
Every second I look at this title, the more and more inadequate my own run on Green Lantern (shameless plug!) seems. Everything about this issue is masterful; the atmosphere is suffocatingly tense, the pacing is pitch perfect, the chareceters are spot on, and the threat is VERY REAL. Thanks for raising the bar for writing on the DC2...I only hope I'm up to the task.
6 stars!

Fan- freakin'-tastic. It really does feel like threads from the last three years worth of stories are coming home to roost in this arc. Thanks, Dave. And yes, there was a conscious effort on my point to pull a little something out of more or less every story that has been told with the Flash since issue #0, hopefully without making it seem like it was TOO chaotic to understand. And of course, the Flash after this story will have a radically different status quo to that he has had in the first 29 or so issues. I'm very glad to hear it, because that's exactly what I was striving for. There's a perception that the Flash's foes- both the Rogues and otherwise- are too colourful and wacky to pose a threat... and I was hoping to kill that stone dead. Oh, you should be. *Ominous laughter* Believe me, Jay and Wally's problems, like Barry's, have only just begun.... I actually wrote most of this issue back around July when I knew what I'd be doing but not exactly when, and it has given me the advantage of being able to plot towards it with much more precision. Thanks for your incredibly kind praise, and hopefully what's to come will not disappoint! Doc Dread really has turned in a fantastic cover here, with Barry's pose really coming to life- and you'll see exactly what's going on here as successive issues come out, and Doc works his magic! Thank you for such praise, Pat! Poor Wally's chance to shine didn't go quite according to plan, and that first solo run may well be his last... but I wouldn't do that to the Flashes, would I? ....Or would I...? Charlie, you are the unsung hero of this book, if only because you spend half your life editing in the BB code which I inevitably forget to put on every single issue. My thanks for that, and for your kind words, as ever! Thawne is letting events unfold from a distance for now- but if... or when... he gets up close and personal, we will be seeing a lot more of the man himself, and the characterisation you mentioned. Though "being evil because he's good" may not be much comfort to poor old Barry by then... I can only imagine then, that you aren't reading your own work nearly enough, because it's kicking ass itself. While I certainly can't agree with the inadequacy charge on GL, I'm glad you're enjoying Flash so much- and the best is yet to come! (I hope...) I have absolutely no doubt that you are, and really, the bar on both the DC2 and the Flash story was set so high already that it's all I can do to try and reach it! Again, thanks for such effusive praise- and as for that threat, it absolutely rockets up a gear next issue when the dials go up WAY past 11! And it's not a good time to be Iris, Bart or poor, innocent unborn Carrie... Thanks again for the overwhelming response, everyone, between this and last issue you'll give me a swollen head! Make sure you're back next month as the story reaches its half way point and some old friends join the fray... in a classic display of 'Too little, too late'!

How have I not read this yet? Again, you display a great talent at using such a large cast, without missing a beat, and keeping each characters personality intact. Great work, now wheres the next issue!? Amazing work.
