Alright, this is just too much.
This week, spring break started for me. In addition, I saw season 2 of the Spectacular Spider-Man on YouTube (easily the best cartoon Marvel ever made). And now this issue? Too much good stuff in a short span of time.
This issue was definately emotional. With what just happened, I supposed it'd have to be. The scene with Connor and Mia stuck out particularly, mostly because Mia hasn't really been vulnerable about her life up to this point. It's wonderfully written.
Ollie and Dinah? Not as interesesting. Having followed their relationship, this seems to be more of the same. It's well written, but it's old news. At least it's good to know they're consistent.
Great stuff overall. I'll be back next month as always.

And now this issue? Too much good stuff in a short span of time. I'm glad you liked it! I love SSM as well! Thank you. I rewrote that scene three times before I decided it was okay. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I did feel that it was time for Mia to open up a bit about her life. There will be more of that as time goes on, too. I went back and forth on this, but I do enjoy the classic relationship and since DC2 started with them just meeting, I felt that it was a logical next step in their relationship. Of course, keep your eye on Black Canary over in NO and you might be surprised what happens next. Thank you for reading and responding and of course I will anxiously be awaiting your reviews next month as well!

Well, of course Dinah snapped on Ollie WAY too easily. But unless you're gonna kill Dinah outright, I'm sure we'll see them together again, sooner or later. Same way Bruce will be back, sooner or later.
That, of course, does not excuse Ollie being an ass to Babs. But that's the way the cycle goes, ain't it?
As for Mia, yeah, even without the repeated rape, no jury in the world would convict her for killing that scumbag. Good luck to her. Hope she never has to do it agian.
Connor continues to be on the up and up. Good for him.

First off, that's one of the best covers I've ever seen on DC2! How the heck did we manage to land a talented artist like that for free?!? The story was good too, of course. Lots of emotional stuff (I got choked up at some points!), a good "bridging" issue from the last storyarc and into the new one. Ollie on the road! All we need is a Hal Jordan cameo and a beat-up truck, and it'll be like Old Home Week. ;D

Same way Bruce will be back, sooner or later. Emotions tend to run high with those two, thats for sure. One of the biggest challenges for me is to make sure I give Ollie a well rounded character, which means his faults as well as his good qualities, and striking out does seem to be one of Ollie's major faults. So do I, my friend. So do I. Connor is SO cool! To me he's always been the most well grounded character in the DC universe. Thank you, Jay!

And I'm very proud to say that he will be doing the covers for the forseeable future! WOO HOO!!! A huge thank you too for such a beautiful cover! Glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, I'm a sucker for all that emotional stuff. Hal Jordan huh? Can't promise that. How about Kyle Rayner?! Oh yeah, never mind.

awesome issue! I'm a big Connor Hawke fan and I think he was portrayed exceptionally well here. Also like that emotional bit between Mia and Connor, great stuff! I gave a chuckle at the "break-up sex".... so like those two! keep it up!
