The next step in the evolution of the Green Lantern Corps is here. #0 is the final installment of Scott Kruger's "The Gathering", which ran in the main Green Lantern book for months, and is the launch pad for the retaking of Oa itself, and the re-ignition of the Central Power Battery.
Dan and I have a bumpy ride planned, and I hope you enjoy where it takes us all. Guy Gardner, Katma Tui, Kilowog, Kyle Rayner and Tomar Re are about to face the challenges of a life time, and some of them... Might not make it out alive.
Anyway, please tell us what you think!

Personally, I've really enjoyed what Scott did with the entire Green Lantern mythos on the DC2. His LEGION War was ahead of it's time, literally, with the Sinestro Corps War (Yellow Lanterns vs Green Lanterns) pushing the envelope of Hal's adventures with every step. This issue was no exception, and whilst I'm no fan of bastard Guy Gardner, Scott makes him bearable, and his ongoing rivalry with Hal Jordan is just fun to watch unfold. Kyle was fun, loved his reaction to being caught in a bubble by Katma Tui, and the enigmatic and mysterious Appa Ali Apsa makes another appearance. I do wonder what's going on with him. I'm pleased to be on board with this project, and have to say now, we're following a plot set out by Scott, but he's given me permission to go crazy. Dan and I have insane plans for the Green Lantern Corps saga, so I have to say, this is not the end. Hope to see you next month when our event begins in earnest!

Glad you liked it and thanks for the hand in finishing it up! Yes, the LEGION war came before Sinestro Corps war (waaaayyy back in 2004 was the first draft!)... too bad Geoff Johns version was better. Thank you to everyone that has read Tales of the Green Lantern Corps, Green Lantern & New Tales of the Green Lantern Corps... it was a (quite stressful at times) blast to write. Unfortunately, I won't be involved in the conclusion of it all to the extent I was. Basically, I'll be reading advanced copies and giving my blessing and feedback before you fine folks get to read it (not a bad job if you can get it). I leave you all in excellent hands! Dan & Chuck have a roller-coaster ride planned and I'm more than a little excited to watch it unfold! (As Dan says): Keep it Green! Scott Kruger Lantern Lad

Is this the new Emerald Rebellion headquarters?
Seriously, I loved this first look at what is coming in the future of Green Lantern and the Corps. Anyone who has ever cared even a little about Green Lantern and the off-Earth DC2 Universe, this is the place to get in on the ground floor of a VERY EXCITING next 12 months in the Green Lantern Universe.
As I've said in emails before, none of this would be possible without the amazing world that Scott built initially here...a world that Charlie and I are going to quickly and violently turn on it's head!
Keep it Green!!! (Stop calling me Dan!)
Stay tuned here and the main books!!
(Wait, did he say books?)
I NEVER slip!!!

Well in my opinoin it was way better than John's story so there . I want to say that I'm looking forward to this tale and how the Lanterns take back Oa and the Corps reforming again. Keep up the great work to all involved.

Okay, so Donna and Kyle are officially an item. I needed to know that. Maybe we should talk about Kyle and potential Titans membership once he gets back....whenever that is.
I always liked Guy. I especially liked his little Rivalry with Lobo, and I also enjoy that he gets to keep the yellow power ring.
And yay for the restoration of the Corps!

Daniel (Dan, Danny, Dan-O, Dan-Boy... I give people nicknames, it's what I do... right Chuck?), I have a suggestion here...
Maybe, a new thread should be started on the main page for this little saga and open it up with 'The Gathering: Collected Edition'... followed by the mini series.
I think it would work better and be read more if it weren't tucked away in a small corner of the Green Lantern section.
Just a thought.

Scotty boy, S Dot, Scott...there's only so much I can do with your name. I don't have any control over what goes where, but that is a good idea. GL fans, check out this interview I did over on the Green Lantern Corps Message Board. www.thegreenlanterncorps.com/forum/blog.php?b=44

You can't believe how happy I am at the mighty come back that the Green Lantern universe is having right now. The main title is fantastic, and this is like a huge cherry on top. First of all, it's Guy Gardner! WOO HOO! I like all of Earth's GLs, but Guy is far my favorite. He was also pitch perfect in this issue. And what he did to Lobo had me chuckling. Brilliant! Excellent all the way around. Everyone involved with this sector of DC2, keep up the great work. I'm hooked! Just don't take forever on issue #1 or I'll have to hunt somebody down. Who ever is closest, probably.

Thanks Brian!
I'm, unfortunately, only back in an advisory/support/idea (if needed) position... but I will be here nonetheless!

All this love for Scott could make SOME current GL writers self conscious...
I'm sensitive!
