What more can I say on this series so far? It's been a superb story and entertaining through and through. Hawkman has come a long way in recent years in my opinion as far as being an interesting and well-developed character and your stories utilize and emphasize all the finer points of that and take it much further. Great work!!

The sky opens and Horus peers down from the heavens onto the DC2. He glides down and takes a seat at the small desk containing this 'computer'. He looks scornfully and with doubt at first... then finds his heart lighter with each word as he scrolls down with the mouse in his right talon. The HP computer hums (hey Gods need to access the internet as well, right?) as he reads & re-reads every line... He finishes, rises, floating back to the heavens above and says:
"It's about $#@*ing time someone got Hawkman right!"
The Gods are pleased...
As am I...what a tremendous story my friend! I cannot wait to see where he goes from here... though I still would like to see him wearing period pants under the man-skirt.

Thanks Brandon, Scott and Horus! This project actually started as a response to what I thought was Palmiotti and Greys' fumbling of the character in his DCU title, and a desire to chronicle the life of Hawkman in a more formal, literary way (a full length novel), but I decided it works better in this sort of (more immediate and succinct) format. I'm really glad the effort I put into it is appreciated!

I think I said this before, but I don't read Hawkman normally...and I'm lovin' the hell out of this story! ;D Glad to see the gods (or at least Horus) have blessed your little endeavour!

Let me just say this, if Hawkman the comic was written as good as this, the title wouldn't have been given to Hawkgirl. Excellent writing, I never even liked Hawkman that much until I read this. (Nighthawk doesn't count though ) I was going to post something like this sooner but, I dunno I feel funny posting feedback about other peoples stories before they know my style of writing. Expect to see me posting feedback in more sections.

These three issues ( The Immortal Legend of Hawkman #0, 1, & 2) were my first efforts at fan fiction, and my work on it (in collaboration with Scott "Lantern Lad" Kruger) was the impetus for me to create the DC2--- so I guess it holds a special place in my heart! Glad you liked it! And if the job of writing Hawkman was ever offered to me by Dan Didio, I would humbly take it (and gratefully acknowledge my debt to Goyer, Robinson and Johns, to whom I owe much for my vision of the Winged Avenger)!

This is your first attempt at fanfic? I'm impressed, it took me a while to get used to writing the voices of established characters. This though, it just flows and you actually made me interested in Hawkman as a solo character... Oh, and uh Hawkgirl too

Well, I've been writing for years, but yes, this was my first attempt at fan fiction (and my style for this medium has evolved a bit since then, and while I see things I might now do differently in these 3 issues, I think these hold up pretty well).
Coincidentally, if you like my take on the Golden Age Hawkman, than you may be interested in a two-part All-Star Comics run I have coming up next month...!

I've been writing for a pretty long time to. I've only just gotten into writing fanfics, and I have to admit it is pretty different than writing original characters.
I will definitly check out All-Star next month.
