Thanks Charlie. But if those were the words you used for this one, just wait until you see what David and I have done for the pulse pounding, totally jaw dropping, ending of the Crisis.

What an awesome conclusion to this mini-series--- and what a killer lead-in to the conclusion of the event next week in JL Annual #1!
Checkmate finally waking up, Luthor forced out into the open, and the Starro menace becoming worse than anyone ever suspected!
Faraday definately redeemed himself in this issue, but when you get in bed with a snake like Luthor, you gotta be prepared to get bitten! Now it's the Society's turn to strike back!
Speaking of Societies... Loved the triumphant return of the JSA! Nicely handled by Brian.
If you want to know what's going on in the DC2niverse--- and what the future landscape will look like!--- you gotta read this mini!
(And leave feedback!)

Breathtaking. Really breathtaking. Congrats to everyone involved to that crisis. That is a must read. WOW. And what a perfect last cliffhanger. Can't wait for the JL Annual.

Oh, and I wanted to thank Kalin and Ramon for coloring the covers. You both did an awesome job.

Very Hollywoodesque, especailly the JSA riding in like the cavalry. But then Starro raises the stakes...
..Question; does Luthor honestly beleive he can control freakin Starro?!?

Holy Major Corssover, Batman! My head hurts just reading it!
Seriously though, that was some serious superhero ass-kickatry. The JSA at the end was a tad bit cliche, but totally awesome. I'm not sure I can describe it any more, so i'll just wait and see next week.

Thank you for the kind words, especially about the JSA. I'm always so nervous about using any of them. This Crisis, will indeed, shake up the landscape of this wonderful world that has been created... for many heroes. And folks, I'm usually not big on tooting my own horn, I'd rather rave about others, but the finale to this is big, HUGE, an epic like none seen so far, with twists, turns, and surprises galore. But of course when your writing it with the cream of the crop, you'd expect no less.

I'm really glad you've enjoyed this event. I have to say that we couldn't have done it without you. Your covers were phemominal, to say the least. You are not only a great artisit, but a real kind person, as well. My Green Arrow/Black Canary sits on my nightstand, and always gives me that extra oomph to crawl out of bed. And to the rest of you that have done the coloring for these beautiful pictures. A really huge thank you from me as well.

Actually, as I was writing this, there were moments that I pictured it on the big screen, so I'm glad it came across that way. And to answer your question: Of course he does! He's Lex Luthor! He can control anything!

Juggling these many characters has been a headache at times, but a fun one. If you think this issue had some ass-kickatry, wait til you see the finale! And I think you're right, the JSA was a bit on the cliche side, I kind of knew that going into it, but sometimes the tried and true can work to your advantage, I'm glad you thought it was awesome.

Now this was a great way to end an event Brian, even if this 4-parter was really a 5-parter. Way to squeeze a few extra bucks out us loyal readers. I liked how things came together at the beginning where some explanations were given and Faraday and Batman formed an uneasy alliance. Luthor has a plan. Batman has a counter-plan. And Ollie has a back-up plan. Again, everything came together nicely! I may be biased here but Brian did a great job of expanding the players in Checkmate plus the reveal that Faraday is finally on to the Queens is pretty cool. Plus we finally discover Steve Trevor's 'secret'! Intense action. Spot on character interaction. A gripping story that never let up from the return of the JSA, to the destruction of the Capital Building, to the final attack of the Star Conqueror! The only thing that made this issue better was the cover. My favorite of the four. Awesome job Borize & Kalin! Will there be anything left to say once I get to the Annual? I'm sure I will think of something.
