Just wanted to say a quick but huge thank you to David Charlton for allowing me the chance to write characters that are so much a part of David that is was scary to even try.
An even larger thank you to DC2's Master of the Golden Age for allowing me to tell this final chapter in the life of Dinah Drake Lance. It was another one of those personal stories, but one that I hope readers will leave with the understanding that life is beautiful and to be celebrated in both good times and bad.
To my Editor I can only say thank you for making this even better. This issue is in celebration of the strong friendship that I have forged with you.
Please let us know what you thought!

I read this last night, on my phone, on the way home (the wonders of technology, yes?) and I have to say... Brian, this was wonderful. A brilliant epilogue to a brilliant story, and covering all the range of emotion a story this needs to throughout. To the conversations between Karen and Ma, to Ted being Ted and Alan and Jay sharing their views on the world... and not only that, but I loved seeing the Hourman/Black Canary relationship (a twist on the one established in Starman between Ted and his Golden Age Canary counterpart??) kind of... summed up. It was just wonderful. A great cover from Jamie, and like I've said elsewhere, his use of colours to have Dinah stand out amongst the throngs of JSAers was dynamite-- stand out she did in the issue itself, wow, whilst I'm not usually a big fan of just shoving lyrics into a story, it was wonderfully done and an interesting punctuation of her feelings. Well done there.
Fantastic issue, glad to see you write it, Brian. Five stars!
Charlie.

Well done there. Fantastic issue, glad to see you write it, Brian. Five stars! Charlie. Thank's Charlie! Jamie did an awesome job, didn't he?! Just as he's done on NO and YJ and everything else he does around here. Glad you didn't mind the lyrics either. It makes me nervous to use them even though many times I get inspired by lyrics in my writing. Funny thing is I originally was going to use "I Will Remember You" but at the time I was writing the story I was listening to the Soundtrack to the Johnny Depp movie Public Enemies and that song is on it. It just felt right to me. You are also correct about the Hourman/Black Canary part of the story. It was indeed a bit of a twist and a nod to one of my favorite series of all time. It was another one of those elements that David whole heartidly supported and for that I am very appreciative. Even though the subject matter was pretty grim, I have to admit that I really enjoyed writing this story. I LOVE these Golden Age characters and the next generation as well. Both in DC2 and in DC they are one of my favorite reads and I feel lucky to have had a chance to write this. Thanks for reading and responding my friend.
