A terrific ending to this arc. Have to admit that the fanboy part of me wanted to see Dick turn around, take Babs in his arms, dip her, and just plant one on her before he left. Great, great, great, job, Ellen! As always...

Thank-you SO much, Brian! (And sorry I didn't run the Batgirl scenes by you ahead of time. Glad you approve.)

I agree this was a terrific ending, and an unusual one for a superhero book. Instead of the usual hero-fights-villain confrontation at the end we get a guy (and gal) using his brains and guile to solve the mystery instead of using his fists. A genuine detective story.
And it seems Dick is coming out of his dark place and is more secure in his role as hero. Which is good because I've always seen Dick as able to deal with his situations and challenges a bit more positively than certain other (bat) hero types. I'm glad to see he's recharged and ready to return to the Titans.
Babs was a bit underused but this ain't her book now is it? I for one am fine with the Dick/Babs "thing" downplayed for now.
One of the few issues I've read this month that's not a direct crisis tie-in. Be interesting to see where Nightwing fits into it.

Well, If I'd had a physical confrontation, NW would've decked Sewell in one punch and come off looking like a bully. And yes, Dick needed a little time to find himself. He's just realizing that 'finding yourself' isn't something that you do once and for all. It's an ongoing process. I'll admit that I've been a bit ticked off by the cannon title, where Dick's had a tendency to get upstaged by his supporting cast. That might well have been a factor in cutting back on Babs' screen time. On the other hand, without her off-panel assistance, he would have had a much harder job nailing Gerard and Sewell. Welllllll... there's a tiny crisis reference in there at the end. As to where Dick fits in, at this point, all I can say is, he'll be in Metropolis. So will Devilance, and a bunch of parademons. Thanks for the feedback!

Good issue. Liked the safety-net reasoning behind all the guest stars you seem to have, glad that you didn't feel the need for a flashback this time (the one last issue seemed a bit superfluous), and glad that Dick's finally gone back to the Titans. On the other hand, I thought Dick was lucky to have been kidnapped by the bad guys, otherwise he might never have found them; and I was dismayed that none of your proofreaders spotted that you'd spelt Olsen wrong.

Well, Dick's decided to stop thinking about the past, so the flashback wasn't needed. I've fixed the spelling. And I'd like to think that Dick would have done a building-to-building search if he'd had to... but first he let out his fishing line. And something nibbled.

Your Cookie Monster avatar is mesmerizing... Huh? Feedback? Oh, yeah. Good stuff, but I honestly started getting lost -- there was so much I didn't remember from the other issues, all the names. My favorite part was at the end...no, not the Crisis teaser, but Perry White dealing with the crank calls for "Robbie Malone". Ask Lois if she's really Wonder Woman...HAH! ;D

Eeep! Sorry I confused you, Susie! I was debating whether to keep that line in. You can thank David for insisting!

Man, that title scared me for a second. Oh, well, at least Nightwing's done soul-searching. They're gonna need him for the Crisis!
