A great issue of RG! Anytime I see Scarface in the comics, I always jump at the chance to read the issue, so, this was no different.
One thing that bugged me though, was the point in the story where Scarface is talking about Blackgate, and he actually says "Blackgate" when he should say"Glackgate".. other than that, all of the g for b substitutions were in place......
The telling was a little weird in some places, but, overall a great story.... I give it 5 stars!

They've got a good rapport with each other, despite the fact that they're the same person. I blame the editor. Weird story, weird telling. But thanks for reading and thanks for commenting. -UDC

Excellent story. I would have loved to seen how Scarface came back from the dead, but that's a story for another day...
It was also great to see Hugo as well. Probably one of my favorite covers of the week, too.
Really love the way you use dialogue, Scott. You've got an excellent handle on it and it makes everything you write flow very nicely.
Nice job!

Excellent story. I would have loved to seen how Scarface came back from the dead, but that's a story for another day... Scarface never died. You can never kill a man made of wood! Yeah, doesn't everyone love a manipulative psychotherapist with his own agenda? That I didn't expect. I was worried that Scarface's speech impedament would be a hinderance. I guess not. Thanks for the kind words. -UDC

Never read about Scarface before. Always thought that this character was too cheesy. No real threat. But then I saw this awesome cover and who was writing it... Wowzer. It turned out to be a 5 star issue for me. Loved the dialogues. Loved the history with his Dad and how he got the puppet. And the ending was shocking... awesome work here.

Never read about Scarface before. Always thought that this character was too cheesy. No real threat. He's definately a cheesy character. I think what makes Scarface a credible threat is that he can actually plan and organize better than others, because lord knows he's pretty useless in a fight. That cover blew me away too. Kudos to Jina B. for great work. Thanks, man. It's much appreciated. -UDC

Very dark, very crazy. Niceee.....
I especally like the little back-story we geet with Ventiliquist first meeting "Woody" and how he later became Scarface. The Parents were a good touch though, a strange mixing of the two to create the current Ventriliqust. A showman, but also a deep down, violent one.
The best selling point was the end. Hugo Strange is taking part in a very strange form of "therapy."
4.5 stars.
