Sorry it was a little late, guys- all my fault, as usual, I'm afraid.
But I think you'll agree it was more than worth the wait- so please, tell us what you thought of the issue!

It was worth the wait. I don't know that much about Black Spider so I was totally blown away by this character. I'm really intrigued! Anyone who can get the upper hand on Deathstroke is formidable indeed.
And woo hoo for Catman's return!
Well done and really sweet looking cover!

I like this. The Voice really stands out as a big bad villain, as do his agents. Deathstroke is still the master, Toyman is more than a little crazy, Parasite definately stands out as creepy and Catman is in the nice position of a competent villain with a low reputation. And the fight scene was well written. Very cool stuff here. I'll have to see where this all goes.

Anyone who can get the upper hand on Deathstroke is formidable indeed. Black Spider has been an awesome villain in Don's Justice League run, and him facing off against Batman of all people was a bad ass fight that you have to read to believe! I'm not going to ruin it, but it is simply brilliant. It was so fun to use him, I might, uh-oh, have to bring him back in, say, #5...? And woo hoo for Catman's return! Yeah, I can't help but agree, but I don't want to go around woo-hoo-ing my own work, so I guess I'll just say that Catman has grown to be one of my favourite villains in the DCU, and it was fun to use him in this series. Well done and really sweet looking cover! Thank you! Jamie does some amazing work, and the fact that he was so important to Don's final Injustice Unbound arc over on JL meant that I had to approach him to do this month's cover. Really cool.

I like this. The Voice really stands out as a big bad villain, as do his agents. It's been really fun approaching this from a different angle, with a villain that no one is expecting. The Voice, as I've said before (I think) has appeared in the DC2 before... and it's fun to write them in this manner. You'll see what I mean as the first arc wraps up. Deathstroke is still the master, Toyman is more than a little crazy, Parasite definately stands out as creepy and Catman is in the nice position of a competent villain with a low reputation. Deathstroke is a definite master planner, and is so fun to use. Toyman... oh, I'm loving how his character is developing. Really fun character. Parasite, heh, is going to get a whole lot more creepy as the series continues. Thanks to Pat for letting me use him (and Metallo!) and Catman, as I said in the post above, is just awesome to use. And the fight scene was well written. Very cool stuff here. I'll have to see where this all goes. -UDC I'm glad! See you next month...!

So here we are, a month later, and I'm sitting down to write a review of SSOSV #3 when suddenly it hits me - Wait a second, I never wrote one for #2! Even though I loved it! A grave injustice which I now seek to rectify before moving on to give my thoughts on #3.
Firstly, let me take a moment to note something you've been doing with ALL your titles lately which I enjoy- shifting the credits around to whatever moment seems dramatically appropriate. This feels like something right out of a movie or a TV show, and I love it, it's something I'm going to have to remember to ape myself because it lends a cinematic feel to things in the best possible way.
On to the issue itself- As always, it seems, you're juggling a large cast of characters, which makes the voices you find for them even more remarkable- each character sounds like themselves, even if they literally have a throwaway line or two, something plenty of DC writers could learn from.
A very nice battle sequence in this issue with the Black Spider- as Starlord said, it was shocking to see him in action in the best of ways- and to see him versus Deathstroke really showed how impressive he is without reducing Slade in the process, a balance that can be very hard to reach.
And the Voice? What is he up to exactly? I don't know but it can't be good- the scene at the end where he sicced the Parasite on Quimby had me chuckling like a lunatic- you've certainly created an excellent villain here, and he's easily the highlight of the issue.
Pacing-wise, there are a few problems- Not enough to detract from the issue, but the siwtching of locations and the number of characters can mean you need to really concentrate to follow things, and it can be a bit hard to keep track of what villains are were. That said, you've still crafted a remarkable little series here- an easy 4 stars.
And the cover? Instant classic, I actually had to laugh as I was putting it up because of how well it works! VERY good work, Jamie!

Finished up #2 and liked it better than the first. The whole toyman thing was creepy and the last scene with the parasite is how to make you make yourself known to your competition. Deathstroke and Catman again work well together. Great job!

Good to know man, I'm trying really hard with this series, and like Wonder Woman before it, it's going to be setting up a lot of stuff for the next year or so of my writing. I'm glad you liked Toyman-- Pat and I had some fun discussions about him, and he comes into his own in #5 (and also be sure to read Action Comics #45 for a whole new mess of Toyman-on-Toyman action, it's going to be wonderful).

Crikey, I forgot this was here... shame on me: So here we are, a month later, and I'm sitting down to write a review of SSOSV #3 when suddenly it hits me - Wait a second, I never wrote one for #2! Even though I loved it! A grave injustice which I now seek to rectify before moving on to give my thoughts on #3. Shame on you... I'm glad you liked that, it just seems natural to do... I like the idea of issues having a cold open, and then a "swirling credit sequence", if you follow. And you can happily ape it, as I tend to ape you when it comes to the Next Issue: blurbs On to the issue itself- As always, it seems, you're juggling a large cast of characters, which makes the voices you find for them even more remarkable- each character sounds like themselves, even if they literally have a throwaway line or two, something plenty of DC writers could learn from. Fantastic to hear that. I'm always worried that characters will blur into a set voice, but if you're enjoying how they're presented then I know I must be doing something right. Phew... A very nice battle sequence in this issue with the Black Spider- as Starlord said, it was shocking to see him in action in the best of ways- and to see him versus Deathstroke really showed how impressive he is without reducing Slade in the process, a balance that can be very hard to reach. Don did some amazing work with Black Spider, having him fight Batman in one of the later issues of his Justice League run (issue number please?! ) and making it one of the most bad-ass things I've read. Ever. Black Spider is brilliant. He's coming back... And the Voice? What is he up to exactly? I don't know but it can't be good- the scene at the end where he sicced the Parasite on Quimby had me chuckling like a lunatic- you've certainly created an excellent villain here, and he's easily the highlight of the issue. Yeah, I'm really chuffed about how Parasite is coming along, and that Quimby scene was... well, I didn't enjoy writing it, because I thought it was freaking harsh. But alas, they're fictional characters... Understandable. I'll try and tighten the scene jumps up a bit, but I like the idea of the scene-changes, but I of course see where you're coming from, and will get to improving them for the next arc. Thanks for the head's up, Kevin... And the cover? Instant classic, I actually had to laugh as I was putting it up because of how well it works! VERY good work, Jamie! Jamie is very good at what he does, and that cover is brilliant. Thanks all!

Reading this right after the first issue really didn’t work well. After all the build up from the previous issue I was looking for a bit more payoff here. Instead there was a lot more build up and I found myself completely lost through most of the issue. Perhaps if I had a bit more background on the Injustice Unlimited group it would have been less confusing. I was also lost with what was going on with Toyman. It wasn’t until later that I started to figure out what was going on there, but still confused with the whole Winslow Schott situation.
Perhaps a few editor notes would have made this a bit more new reader friendly.
It also seemed in issue #1 Catman was more impressed with the Voice, where here he seemed more annoyed. The Ravager scene didn’t work for me too much either. Not sure why. Maybe because I have thoughts on what his ultimate role is and the idea hasn’t won me over yet. I will have to wait and see before I can comment more.
I did love the use of the Adam Cray Atom. Being a big Suicide Squad fan, I was giddy that he was included here and can’t wait to see more!
The cover from Jamie was awesome but it made me look forward to the big throw down all issue. A big build up that led to more disappointment with the final Catman Black Spider fight. The fight scene itself was ok with some nice moments for all involved, but certainly not one of your best.
The issue hit its stride at the end leaving me wanting more, but it was a big stumble to get their with the a lot of jumping around and a lot of assuming on the writers part that the reader had all the background info to know what was going on.
Though it seems I nitpicked this issue a lot, I still feel it was a 4 star effort for the issue as a whole.

Reading this right after the first issue really didn’t work well. After all the build up from the previous issue I was looking for a bit more payoff here. Instead there was a lot more build up and I found myself completely lost through most of the issue. Ah, I'm sorry about that. I was so excited about the whole story that I think I wrote it much more as a whole than an episodic narrative, so that couldn't help. I've not been as excited for a new project as I have SSoSV for a long time, so it was just ploughing into it, and I still am. Like I said in previous feedback, this is my ingrained DC2 title... reflecting stuff from other titles and moving forward. For me, it's my flagship DC2 title as well (which makes no sense, as I write Justice League too) but it's got lots of stuff going on, lots of threads that reach out across the site into other titles too. I thought I had made it accessible but I see the problem, and it's a shame that it took away from your reading experience after #1. Injustice, Unlimited were a major plot point from Don's Justice League run, with a "Winslow Schott" running around there being less than honest about his true identity whilst the real Toyman from Roy's Action Comics run was in a coma. It was a fun attempt to introduce, in my view, the scariest version of Toyman (massive puppet jester) and Don set up the character over in Justice League. You're right though, editor's notes would have helped, and I'll keep that in mind for future issues. It also seemed in issue #1 Catman was more impressed with the Voice, where here he seemed more annoyed. I think that in #1 Catman was nervous about the power on display, and that continues here, this massive being of power (that no one knows anything about) "ruling" the villains. Sorry if that didn't come through. The Ravager scene didn’t work for me too much either. Not sure why. Maybe because I have thoughts on what his ultimate role is and the idea hasn’t won me over yet. I will have to wait and see before I can comment more. I look forward to that. Ravager was one of the funner elements to write in the entire series. I did love the use of the Adam Cray Atom. Being a big Suicide Squad fan, I was giddy that he was included here and can’t wait to see more! Don and I intend to get round to using Injustice, Unlimited again in future issues, but it's just about finding the right story, and the right time. #17? The cover from Jamie was awesome but it made me look forward to the big throw down all issue. A big build up that led to more disappointment with the final Catman Black Spider fight. The fight scene itself was ok with some nice moments for all involved, but certainly not one of your best. Damn, that's a shame. I know that it wasn't my best, and the "hero" took a beating like no other, so it was just like... "What?" Glad I'm not alone in thinking that, ha! Jamie took a kernel of an idea and ran with it, so I refuse to take all the blame if the cover was misleading The issue hit its stride at the end leaving me wanting more, but it was a big stumble to get their with the a lot of jumping around and a lot of assuming on the writers part that the reader had all the background info to know what was going on. Again, thanks for hanging on there, like I've said numerous times now, so pleased with how this series ended up. Though it seems I nitpicked this issue a lot, I still feel it was a 4 star effort for the issue as a whole. Thank you, John.

I enjoyed this issue. It was a good fight and I loved to see Injustice Unlimited again. Poor I.Q., I really started to like the character. Parasite is getting scarier with every scene he appears in. I look forward to more.

I look forward to more. I.Q. is coming back before the first arc is done, and Injustice Unlimited will be back after #13, as Don and I have been plotting devious plans, that will wrap everything up in a delightfully sinister package! Parasite's second act comes to conclusion in #12, and his third act ends in #20ish, if the schedule stays the same. He also makes an appearance in the next issue of Action Comics (if that comes out )!
