I'm not entirely sure where this is going......but somehow I don't think it will be happy for Black Adam.
I'm also worried about our favorite Marvel sidekick....

Well the only thing that I can tell you Arcalian is to stick around and soon all will be revealed. Dragon doesn't want to give too much away just yet or Chief will be hunting her down with a dragon lance. Dragon is taking to the skies in fear of the Chief. Well as for the Marvel sidekick all's the Chief will allow Dragon to say is that it might be good and it might be bad, but it certainly will be different and it might even shake the world that is Fawcett City to it's foundations. muhaahahh!!!!!!!!!!

Worried about Kid Marvel??? And when did Captain Marvel gain a sidekick...It's like saying The 'Chief is Dragon's sidekick. Never will The 'Chief be a sidekick to ANYONE!!!(Looking over his shoulder) Ok wait and see where we take this series. Thanks Jay for you comments and congratulation on the promotion. Mischief

This was a strong issue and Black Adam was done well. I, like Jay, am concerned about Captain Marvel's sidekick!
Very, very rarely do I say anything negative, but I do have to say that this and the last issue did kind of throw me in its narrative. I'm a third or first person sort of reader, so it always feels a bit jarring for me, but the story itself was great and I can't wait til the next issue.

I did try to do my best to get into BA's head as I write it. Though if you ask Chief he did it, but anyways thank you. Well we will have to wait and see what unfolds for him in the next few issues it will be fun or I hope anyways. I hope not to disappoint you in the next issue there is something very sinister brewing in Fawcett city and ... ooopps CHIEF is coming dragon must run away. Dragon is taking to the skies roaring in delight that someone liked her writing and flying in circles at the same time she is keeping an eye on the evil dictator that is the CHIEF. "You know he is a rather cruel and evil man pushing me to write faster and better." Ouch stop throwing things CHIEF THAT HURT!!!!!!! ^_^ Dragon P: *At Chief*

Ok, so issues 7 and 8 are the first Capt. Marvel stories I've read on DC2, I'm ashamed to say.
Interesting stuff. You have a solid grip on the Marvel mythology, and I am interested to see what is going on, particularly with this issue's cliff hanger.
Stylistically, I understand what Brian is saying. I think, and this is a little thing, that you sometimes run into problems with tenses. So sometimes you are in the present tense, and the next paragraph you are in past. Its a trap lots of us fall into, and its something we all have to be mindful of.
What I did like about your style is that it has a very old school vibe to it, both in your use of language and your story structure. It reads as though it was something that might have been originally passed on as an oral story and just written down.

Marvel stories I've read on DC2, I'm ashamed to say.[/qoute] I'm ashamed to say that Action Comics was the only thing I was reading, but now I'm expanding what I read. Noteably DC2's Suicide Squad(Wriiten by Jay McIntyre) is now on my pull list. I credit it all to the Dragon's reasearch. And trust me she does alot of research. One thing for sure, this story has definitely come to life for us and its writing itself. Its a pitfall of having two different writers trying to mesh their story together. The style can be attributed to the fact that the Dragon is currently 33 yrs old going on 34 next month and the 'Chief loves to rub that in. Check out Rogues Gallery #8 and Rogues Gallery #9 for the Goddess Found tie-ins. Thanks for the comments. They are greatly appreciated. Mischief

I recognize Chief's style and Dragon's style... both very distinctive. I saw Ellen say that co-writing is very difficult, but the narrative was very hard to get through this time around...
I still like the story a lot, but the telling of the story interfered with the plot to me... I am not a fan of this issue too much, but will continue to read to see where the story is going to go..
I share the sentiments with Brian and Jay... what's going to happen to Kid Marvel? Guess I'll find out!
The Cover is strong and again iconoclastic for what Captain Marvel is....
*** over all from me.

I believe that this issue did suffer a bit due to the writers being married...Lol. We both have strong opinions and we definitely had our fights with this one. We had so much time to actually write Shazam! #7 and Rogues Gallery #8 that we were scared of Shazam! #8. But excuses aside, thanks Jay for reading. And the previous two covers were creatively in concept a collaboration of ours. Mischief
