A great way to introduce the new characters to the super team that doesn't exist. Amanda, under Jay's more than capable hands, is already evolving into an even more three dimensional character than John had created, which is no mean feat, I might add. However, Knockout, Killer Frost, and of course Terra seem to be the shining stars in this first arc. Every character has a distinct voice in this story, but these three are really coming into their own, and I can't wait to see how they continue. And I'm a tad concerned for June... just a tad... 5 stars!

Not a bad story. It felt a bit padded, like some of the fighting and "background building" material was filled out to get a decent page count. But the finale was okay. I agree, Knockout, Terra and Frost really come out as the focus characters for this story, and each was interesting in their own way. I loved the developments with Terra at the end, that was very well done, and makes her quite interesting in potential. I wasn't comfortable with how Manhunter was taken out of the picture. It seemed rather...surreal and left such a strong character looking really third-rate. Just how I feel. I'm not sure if it was meant to be funny, to evoke that "three stooges" slapstick sensation, but for me...it did nothing to make Shaw a cool character. If this had been my first issue, he'd be a joke character to me. That was really my biggest difficulty with this tale though. Otherwise, it was a good bridging story, settling you into place, arranging your membership and preparing for future developments.
Good work.
Take care Don

The Killer Frost/Terra interaction was foreseen from the start, up to and including that rather grisly revelation in the apartment. The Knockout development, on the other hand, grew out of my desire to include the.....new member associated with her.
The injury to Manhunter was meant to be taken seriously, not to diminish him but to show how anyone can be taken out by an eye injury.

I really liked the Tara/Killer Frost part. Frost was(pardon the pun) chilling to me in that. She really needs help, though I'm not sure in her state that she could ever get it. She's probably too far over the deep end. But it was a good wake-up call for Tara, and good impetus for her to want to change. It's clear she doesn't want to end up like that, and the thought of it makes her sick.

Okay, here's what I thought about this arc I like the new roster. Terra is very interesting. The scene with her and Frost in the appartment made me shudder. I can see how that made Tara think about her futer and thinking about if she wants to become like Frost. Very good. I like teh Parademon, but somehow Knockout started to feel a little bit like Wonder Woman to me. The Demon kneeing before her and she placing her hand on his head/shoulder... Okay they have a lot in common and I can see that Knockout was alone and the PD gave her some sort of family back, but I don't know... On the one hand I really liked this scene, on the other hand it didn't feel like Knockout for me... The two scientists... are they a couple? I somehow had this feeling that they were more than just partners But all in all a very good issue. I give you 4,5 stars

Great end to this storyline.
Loved the part where Killer Frost took Terra to Denver to show her that she took her advice. Reading that Terra blew chucks afterwards was beautiful.
Parademon being added seems like the this roster is mirroring the Secret Six roster. Catman, Parademon, and Knockout, all we're missing are Deadshot, Scandal Savage, Cheshire and Rag Doll.
The ending was priceless: 'Because of Parademon, she was no longer alone.'
Five out of Five Stars.
