Nine issues. All fantastic. And this final chapter, to coin a phrase, rocked my socks. It was astonishing how you tied everything together, and what a way to end your first arc! Your FIRST arc! It's... It's been so long since I read #0 but everything is complete, everything tied together and... Wow. Just wow Dave.

I have so ran out of words to describe your work, David. This was an absolute master piece of a story, from beginning to end. Can't wait to see what you have in store next!

Thanks, guys! I really appreciate your feedback, and I'm overjoyed that you liked it--- not to mention stuck with it for all nine issues! I know it wasn't the easiest story to follow (lots of twists and turns and weird names), and there's even one or two plot holes (nothing major that would invalidated the story), but it was fun to write and hopefully establishes Wonder Woman as a hero on a par with Supermn and Batman in the DC2. Lots of stuff left hanging will be revisited next issue--- but don't think that Diana will have time to catch her breath! She's going from war to crisis-mode! Thanks also to ArtTeach for his bada$$ cover--- and for being the only person thus far to rate the issue!

Absolutely brilliant conclusion to this monster of a story. With all of the dangling plot threads I wondered how you could tie it all together but you made it happen in a big way. A true epic. Wonder Woman has earned her place in the "Big Three" after this.
It will be fascinating to see what happens next with the pantheon of the gods shake up and the ascension of the now Queen Diana. There are so many huge developments rising out of this arc, the fallout will be felt for a long while; not to mention I hear there's a crisis on the horizon...
Fantastic job.

Sorry to rate and run. I have Perez, Byrne, Walt, and Rucka runs on Wonder Woman. Except for Perez nothing really touches what you have done here. Without using the usual fan fiction over the top, tear down, destroy the character and world tricks that are used. You have a solid story that could be used in Wonder Woman right now and probably be better than what has been seen in a long time.
It also great to WW stop navel pondering and really be a proactive character.

Hey, thanks, fellas! High praise, indeed, and extremely gratifying. Art, Perez' run was my guide, though I enjoyed Rucka's as well. I've never really seen Wonder Woman as "chick lit", but as a rollicking, epic adventure story on a par with Sinbad and Jason and the Argonauts. But at the same time, I want to stay true to the idealism inherent in the character. Hope this came across in "A Game of Gods and Mortals"

Just finished reading this first WW arc. Fantastic piece of work -- a really enjoyable read. Thanks very much, Walnutcookie! I think this is still my longest, most ambitious story-arc for the DC2--- certainly one of my favorite!--- and I am very proud of the way it turned out. It's nice to see that newer members are reading our "back issues" ;D. We really did some amazing work in our first year! (Don't forget to check out Zirron's current run on this title!)

I'm a latecomer to DC2 and I hope that Mr. Charlton or his colleagues are still able to receive these letters. These issues (the first arc of Wonder Woman) were not only a fantastic story on this site, but one of the best Wonder Woman stories I've ever read. The plot, characterization, and writing were excellent. I enjoyed this synthesis of the mythos, something I have never quite seen before. The style fit the themes and subject perfectly. I hope to read much more in the future, and congratulate all of the writers and editors on this site for their amazing work.

I'll be sure to let David know that you've dropped some feedback on his run, Oblique. Interestingly, the big Summer 2017 event that will run through Justice League ties into this opening arc of Wonder Woman in a big way, while also paying homage to the numerous other runs that came after. I always say that the continuity of this site is really important to me, and I want to show that off with what's coming-- so keep an eye out for July 2017, and an arc I've tentatively titled " An End To The Age Of Wonders"...!

When Charlie told me someone had read my introductory run on Wonder Woman, I felt that particular and familiar tingle of joy at receiving feedback on the DC2. You made my day. That first year of stories were all written in a heady/insane/madcap rush I wish I was still capable of attaining. I'll always have a special place in my heart for my WW stories. She's one of my favorites, and I'm very proud to have given her her start on Earth-One. I always regretted I never re-visited some of the subplots and story elements I raised in these issues, but it sounds like Charlie has that well in hand with An End to the Age of Wonders (great title, btw, Charlie). And I would be remiss if I didn't admit that Charlie has not just picked up the baton, he's hurled it into the stratosphere and soared off after it. If you want to see some really good stuff, check out his WW run, or his ongoing JL title, where WW plays a big role.

Thanks for your kind responses, Charlie and David. This site not only has an impressive dedication to continuity, but also a respectful and talented crew of writers. I'm thrilled when I can understand - and enjoy - references to earlier material. Frankly, I'm also thrilled when I get feedback from writers, and I'm very glad you appreciated my (brief) review. I will endeavor to provide more lengthy feedback in the future as I continue to read "Wonder Woman" and many other series on this amazing site in anticipation of the new series, both ongoing and upcoming.

When Charlie told me someone had read my introductory run on Wonder Woman, I felt that particular and familiar tingle of joy at receiving feedback on the DC2. You made my day. Anything to get you posting on the site again, old man... Those first few years were a perfect storm of collaboration and inter-connectivity. We had so many amazing titles running side-by-side, weaving in and out of one another, and the big events we had during our first and second years were amazing collaborations. I miss those times, but I know we've grown beyond it now. If people want to contribute, great, but there's no pressure on people to make everything fit together. Let's just have fun. Thanks for the kudos on that title, mate. I've been planning that arc since last year, and Jamie is psyched to be working on the covers. It'll be his return to the title after a short time away. But in the interim, we have two great artists covering the next two arcs... Roy has already delivered the next three issues' worth (he's working on the big Martian Manhunter five-parter that's lined up to start this month), and Steve received the specs for his three-parter that'll be coming out in April. Super psyched! And I would be remiss if I didn't admit that Charlie has not just picked up the baton, he's hurled it into the stratosphere and soared off after it. If you want to see some really good stuff, check out his WW run, or his ongoing JL title, where WW plays a big role. I wrote a solid, thirteen issue run on Wonder Woman that I was really proud of. Zauriel, Phantom Stranger, Doctor Psycho, the New Gods... yes, I leaned into my tendency toward guest stars during the run, but the end result was something I got a kick out of writing. If you're reading Justice League you'll have noticed the nods I've already written, and that big WW-centric arc next year is the culmination of loads of stuff. Gonna be good!
