All the hype aaaand...
I'll hopefully read it tomorrow. Y'all are stuck with Powers, Inc #6 and The Flash Annual #1 for the time being, ain't that an awful shame?
Can't wait to read it Sam, can't wait to see if it lives up to the 'hype'!

Bravo, Sam! This annual proved to be an exciting, fast-paced read, with a killer cliffhanger ending!
I just want to say that I couldn't be more excited that I am leaving this title in your capable hands. While I have a co-plotting credit for this issue, I want to say that this bold new direction, and all the neat storylines that will be spiraling out of it, are definately guided by the talented hand of Mr. Harrison.
This issue is sure to stir some controversy--- the unrequited feelings between Diana and Steve, the ascendency of Ares and his new champion, the wedding (and consummation?!?), and the new, more warlike direction of the Amazons!
Great job!

That was...! I mean... ! Whoa! Well written and it flowed wonderfully. There were some huge twists and turns that will make me come back for more. If this is just the beginning of your run, I can't wait to see what's up your sleeves. You've got me coming back next month. Awesome job!

Thanks for the good things said guys. I'm really glad you all liked it, especially Idle as I am taking over a title you rocked hard for months, that you built from the ground up, and I'm kind of knocking it all down and paving over it.
SO everybody like the ending? There were enough suprises in there?

The only words I can think of refering to your ending? Oh come ON!
I'll read your next issue Sam, should be interesting considering...!

Yep, it was a shocking ending, but in truth the whole issue had many surprising twists and turns. I really have no idea where you're going with this, and I suppose that will keep me interested and coming back for more.
Overall this was a good, status quo smashing issue. Impressive beginning for a new writer of this title. Certainly a different tone for WW's new era. Guess I'd better strap in for the ride.
Incidentally, I'm curious to see if WW appears in Justice League #1. Hopefully that doesn't spoil what you've started here.

And thanks everyone for the good comments, it only gets better for me from here. I've knocked down the block castle and now I get to build it back up.

The story telling was sound, you're a great writer, but the subject matter didn't click for me. It was kind of retreading previously covered ground, I think... With the whole battle for Wonder Woman's mantle, it was just so very Artemis and Diana, you know? Change of costume because of it? New Wonder Woman, I dunno how you're going to follow up on it, but so far, it hasn't done anything for me.

I've never read Wonder Woman before this, I did know Artemis took over once but that's it. So everything you read is really off the top of my head. I was given a place Wonder Woman had to be post-crisis and I decided to get her there a little differently.

I know where Sam is going--- and believe me, there is nothing retreaded about it!
This was a terrific debut of a great new staff writer, and I can't wait for everyone else to see what he does next!

Well, Sam, I said I'd read it, and I did. I'm not a WW fan, so I'll reserve my judgement for storytelling alone. You write very well, with some great descriptions in there, though some of your scene transions were jarring (we go from Diana callenging Zenobia to Di and her new husband having an intimate moment in the blink of an eye). Nevertheless, I'll stick around for a few issues to see where you're going with this.

New issue this week. I love you all so much that I've pulled one out of my hat within a couple of weeks, aren't you all so glad?
So... Who's going to read?
And HoM I promise this is NOT Ultimate Wonder Woman or anything, these are all my stories from my corrupted, protagonist-detroying head. The way I like to work is to completely break down all my characters before I build them all back up.

Alan Mooring it, I can dig that. Hey, Sam, please do me a favour and read The Question Quarterly #1-3 or The Question #1, I would really appreciate your views on it, especailly now I know your "process" and mine were similar (I broke him, I beat him, and I knit him back together WITH WORDS!!).

I'll read it when I can, I have to read a book a week for uni and they're pretty hefty. Final year sucks. I love the Question so I'll take a quick look for some relaxation when I've finished this week's book.

This is an odd one! The original cover is MIA, so I found a new one, but then I found that back in 2010 another replacement cover was sourced, but it was also MIA! I actually managed to find the original art for the second cover, so I dressed it with our new-ish Annual dress: Art by Camp6BoyAnd here's the new cover I found: Art by pungangI really wanted Zenobia displayed prominently, considering the later role she played in the DC2, namely as a major player in Birds of Prey, so here we go!
