A cover from Brandon Herren? An issue written by Brian Burchette? Yeah, this one is a no-brainer!
This issue seemed to capture some of the best elements of Wonder Woman's most recent eras, from the George Perez re-launch (to which, it seems to me, is owed Diana's characterization in this issue) to the modern kick-ass version (the high-octane plot and tension). Nice to see some new (but familiar!) faces introduced in this issue. It's easy to see where at least one of them might be headed--- Hmm... combine this with Brian's last arc on Action Comics, past work on Detective Comics, current stuff on Green Arrow... Can I safely predict a guest spot on The Flash coming soon ;D?
Safe to say I will be keeping my eyes peeled for any new titles on the horizaon!
I love this creative team on this book! Stick around for as long as you can! Five stars!

You caught me! Much of this was a nod to the Perez run. That volume of Wonder Woman probably holds the most affection for me since it was his stories of the Amazon that I first read. Geez, Dave, I have no idea what you're talking about? I can't speak for the awesomeness that is Brandon (and isn't that cover awesome!!!), but I'll be here for one more issue and then I'm moving on. I love Wonder Woman, but the character scares the daylights out of me. LOL! Thanks for reading and responding my friend.

Nuts. Showing me up. I'm torn by this issue. Your Wonder Woman is amazing, Brian. She's the epitome of perfection, human but as pure and as strong as her former patrons (wherever they may be...), open without naive or irritatingly innocent. I love reading your view on the character, and hope to see more of it as the months go on, but I'll understand if you've got more New Outsider-y things to concentrate. Reading this inspires me, and I hate that too. Because I just got off the title...
I'm not sure what I feel about your interpretation of Cassie. She's a good person, I can tell that, but I'm left wondering if this Godly power she wields is corrupting her, or she has some kind of weird bloodlust going on? I'm not sure. But she's not the Cassie I've known and loved, but then again, I hated her when Byrne first introduced her-- she was irritating! So this version of her... angry, gung-ho, and beating on Wonder Woman... I'm not sure what I think of her yet.
But I'll be back! Oh, how I'll be back.

You have a grasp on the mythos of Wonder Woman that I can't begin to fathom. As I said though, this is a two issue run only. No other character scares me more than our Queen, here. But thank you for the compliments. I'm glad you'll be back, and just remember that old saying: "First impressions..." Thanks Charlie!
