Interesting...
I enjoyed the alternate history stuff, and it was really neat to see Tara Markov--- will we get more of Brion (weird that the should be the younger sibling, but I'd like to see where that goes)...?
The Gotham stuff left me a little cold. Nothing personal, I just don't go for the Batman-as-father-figure paradigm that seems to be so prevalent in fan fiction. But it was nicely written, and sets up an ominous atmopshere of impending danger.
Looking foward to seeing more Titans, and the Markovian Empire on the march!

Yes, there's more of Brion to come. Obviously Tara here is closer to Terra II than Terra I, but as I wrote her, her "voice" as a favored child of the Imperial family was clearly different than either. Aside from giving Robin some "Background", the point of Bruce and Dick is to show how serious things are in this world, which you picked up on. I did hope to do a kind of acknowledgement of Batman Beyond as well, with Bruce being in the shape that he's in. And let me just take this moment to thank all the powers that be at DC2, including of course Idlewilder, for giving me this opportunity.

Honestly my very first thought when I got this pitch was; Oh another Titans elseworlds. But i really think this is not just aanother Titans story. This is what elseworlds are supposed to be. Altered histories and a new take on familiar faces. This was well written and I have seen some more of it and you should all stick around cause its just getting started.

I thought it was okay, although I have to say I enjoyed the Terra part more than the Bruce/Dick/Tim part (which, while well written, started to lose my interest slightly towards the end). Still, over all, it was an interesting enough beginning, so I suspect I'll be sticking around.
Really liked the cover.

I am pleasantly surprised that Terra has been recieved so well, and shocked that Robin has been recieved poorly. Though I get the feeling that things will improve the longer he stays away from home, so to speak. Be assured more members are coming to diversify things, of course. It's no spoiler to say that.
Yes, I love the cover too, especially the great job Arteach did on giving Terra's costume a nice "Elseworlds" feel.
And thanks to Circle of Sanguine for his kind words and, again, the opportunity I've been given.

Well my first thought when I finished was really, wow, this person writes really well. It flowed smoothly very smoothly and you have a great grasp of dialog. I very much like that.
I'm not a huge elseworld fan in general, but this story has truly intrigued me. It is just as Chris said, a total reimagning of the entire DC2 universe. This is also very well thought out, and that impressed me as well. Great job, and I can't wait for part two.

OH HELL YEAH! ;D Sorry, had to get that out of the way. While I tend to skip a lot of our Elseworlds offerings (many fall flat on me, even in the solicits) this one piqued my interest. Markovia as a world-crushing power? Titans as resistance fighters? Let's see if this guy can deliver... And you did, hence the opening exalt (plus one for your profile -- congrats, you're up to 5 Karmas!). This is what Elseworlds is all about: bending the norms of DC and seeing how it breaks. If you can keep this up, Arcalian, you've got a bright future around here!

When you told me you were a Terra fan-boy, you weren't kidding.
Like I said to you before I am a huge Terra fan myself and it premise of this tale intrigued me a lot.
I wasn't disappointed at all! The the story opened in grand fashion and was a nice set-up to the tale. I agree with Susan about Elseworlds for the most part. When story's are driven on messing with continuity just for shock value and do nothing more to drive the story leave me disinterested. I am not in the least bit interested in a What If? concept. But this works because the focus is on dropping familiar characters into an entirely new world!
I was impressed with how well written this was. You painted a vivid picture through Terra's eyes and her voice drove the story. You are perfectly in tuned with her character which is so important because the reader needs that to care about what happens to her next to keep reading.
I did enjoy the Gotham stuff. The idea of Tim taking over and being on his own for a month was intriguing. I especially liked getting some background on where some of the other DC characters were. Funny, no mention of Superman?
The passing of the mantle stuff was ok. It lingered a bit here and there but it served it's purpose and got Tim to where he needed to be for the story.
The cover kicked ass and captured the story perfectly! I look forward to seeing where this story goes and who will round out this team of resistance fighters.

The "solo flight" thing is something Tim actually did in continuity, though much differently than here, of course. I agree on hating things done purely for shock value. This story had been bubbling in my subconsicous for some time, and DC2 gave me the perfect place to tell it.
As for where Superman is, that question will be answered, in a roundabout sort of way, next issue.
And yes, that cover is pure awesomeness, isn't it? My hat's off to ArtTeach.

I wanted to like this, and it was well written (superbly written!) but the content left me cold. I'm not a Titans fan (I dropped the book after the "Titans Around The World" arc), I'm not a Terra fan, and Robin has only recently become a character I enjoy reading (and even then, not in his own book) so this was a really hard story to come into. I REALLY enjoyed the introduction to the history of your universe, but the rest of it... Meh.
But I did like this:

What I liked about this issue was the way that Jay was able to introduce some characters that I am not completely familiar with.
I do know that this issue was pretty good in the way it described the introduction into why possibly batting the Markovians was going to be a huge ordeal...
I really like this issue a lot **** from me.
