Ongoing huh? Well that should prove interesting! I look forward to seeing all of these wonderful characters fleshed out more as the series goes along. But on to this issue: It opens with Rose Wilson having daddy issues. I like it! As a matter a fact the girls rule on this team. (if they can be called that yet) I also like how Terra and Kai-Al adjusted while the guys had to go off and discuss things. Typical guy behavior. ;D And the 'bad' chicks dig Robin huh? Poor guy! This issue was kind of a breather in the action to allow for the various characters to interact and develop more. The pacing of this series so far was been excellent and I look forward to the big battle next time. I can't wait to see Craigs finished cover. Another great issue all around.

This series just keeps getting better and better. Not only is it first-rate world-building (I just can't get over how cool an idea this Markovian Empire is!), but it is full of compelling character development! The Dread Pirate Rose (sorry, I can't help thinking of her that way ) is a brilliant twist on the character, and I can't wait to see more of her. In fact, based solely on her appearance in this issue, I'd say she deserves her own spin-off! I love her whole swashbuckling scene, and look forward to seeing her relationship with Wintergreen explored (and just how did Daddy die?)--- I'm a big fan of the Aubrey/Maturin naval adventures, and can see echoes of that here. One question: what is the name of Ravager's flagship? (Did I miss it?) (I just love little details like that ;D) The team seems to have a very edgy dynamic. I can't decide if Robin is in an enviable position or not, but the triangle your setting up could get downright nasty--- but fun to read! Kai-Al continues to be an interesting character (though I'm not sure she's the Super girl type--- seems more Power Woman-y to me). And Green Lantern's reference to his mentor and his "old friends" fomenting trouble for the Markovians in Europe is certainly intriguing... Wonder who that might be ? All-in-all, another terrific issue, complete with a cliffhanger-ending that keeps us on the edge of our seats for the next installment! The news that this will now be an ongoing is welcome, indeed! I look forward to exploring this interesting world the writer has created here for years to come! It would be a complete injustice not to mention the first-rate cover on this issue. Sometimes covers recount a pivotal scene, or set the stage for the issue--- a really good one will fire your imagination and whet your appetite! This cover says: "I dare you not to read me!" Superb job, Craig!

Ongoing now, eh? Good to hear...because I had no idea how you could be wrapping this up anytime soon!
Mostly character development this issue, but still good. I see that GL's beginning to take after his Uncle Guy a bit now (the chavanism, the slightly uppity attitude). And both Terra and Ravager have got the hots for Robin? I'd call him lucky, but I'm dreading the possible catfight to come!

Heh. Robin's in over his head? I don't know, but damn good story telling.
You got the suspense building up... Supergirl makes her first 'appearance' this issue...
I still am trying to get a grasp of Eric's character... he seems to be the clear cut GL, but I really like the dynamic when you brought Rose into the picture..
Great great issue.
Again the art was fantastic.
***** from me.
