And now, a moment of silence for the opening monologue...
I liked this issue, mostly because you really agree with the Titans about not liking Anarky. He seems pretentious, uptight and, overall, annoying, and is very well written. I'm also interested in Argent and what she's doing in this whole mess of a global uprising. Good stuff!
Also, Robin > Anarky.

another great issue. I'm really honored to be a small part of this book. Jay's world that he has created here is so rich in character and drama, that each issue amazes me even more.
And the cover is out of this world.
Also, thanks to Mark for posting this for me this week.

Well, if the writing doesn't get you, the beautiful "Adventures of Robin Hood" cover homage will! Anarky, especially, is very well rendered!
While I enjoyed this issue, it felt more like an extension of the last one than a story of its own. I know there will be a certain amount of that, due to the serial nature of an ongoing series, but I'm glad Our Intrepid Heroes are back on the road--- after a quick approval from Bruce and Dick. Where do those two get off? (And where are the reast of America's heroes?)
The fight with Robin and Anarky was the issue's second swashbuckling homage--- and I won't give it away except to say that I'm glad this issue reunited Tim and Tara with the dread pirate Rose. Great action sequence, as always!
Obviously the Titans are headed for Italy, though I'm not sure why, yet--- except that there is a rendevous with this new character Toni Monetti in the offing. I hope that Lonnie gets to see Venice!
Lastly, it was great to finally learn the name of Rose's flagship, but wasn't Slade Wilson's wife named Adelaide (though maybe Rose was not Addy's daughter...)
Looking forward to next issue, and the Titans shaking things up again. One request: let's get another look at what's going on in the Imperial Palace at Markovia! I miss Empress Petra...!

Indeed, in regular continuity Addie Kane was not Rose's mother; so it is here. Slade was not aware of Rose's existence until some years after her conception. Of course, DC2 continuity does not reflect this.
We will return to the Empress in due course of time, just not right now.
Sorry that this issue does not seem to work for you, at least not so well as others preceeding it, sir!

Oh, it worked! It was a great issue! Loved the new characters, thought the characterization was fun, and I'm excited about the direction the book seems to be heading... Was it the best issue of the series? No. Was it a bad read? Heck, no!

"You're using Bonetti's defense against me eh?" he taunted, lunging in.
"I thought it fitting, given the rocky terrain," Robin replied, parrying.
"The Princess Bride"! I almost spat out the chips I was eating when I read that! It's the little things that make me love this book...like calling Anarky "'Narc", that's funny!
Despite the lovely in-joke, I thought the fight between Robin and 'Narc was a little forced, in the vein of the "We just met, so let's beat each other up" cliche. Other than that, great issue!
'Narc! ;D

Can't believe I'm so late! Another great issue! I'm anticipating the next chapter very much.
Idlewilder,Rose's mother in mainstream DCU was Lilian Worth, Sweet Lil for short. IIRC she was a Cambodian tribal princess that Slade saved when he was in Nam that he had an on-and-off affair with for years. Sweet Lil ultimately moved to New York and became the Madam of a very successful brothel. She was later killed after Ravager III,Slade's half-brother and for awhile there archnemesis Wade DeFarge(apparently it all stems from the fact Wade was a jealous asshole who thought Slade got special treatment when they were kids even though Salde tried to be as kind as possible to him),kidnapped Rose to try to get to Slade. Lil and Wintergreen attempted to rescue her,but in the attempt Lil drove a Jeep off a cliff trying to run Wade down. The body was never recovered,so she might still be alive for all we know, but unless someone decides to do something with that fact it's commonly excepted that she ended up as a puddle of gore at the bottom of the cliff.
Now I'm not sure if I got ALL my info right, and I don't feel like looking it up right now,but I know I got the gist of it right.

This issue worked much better then the last one. The writing is always sharp and the characters always have a voice of their own, this is showcased best when the whole group is together.
Again not a fan of pompous-man here but now that Tim is out of Gotham I am sure he won't be around for awhile.
The characterization is always spot on even with certain characters I don't really care for. Anarchy is even growing on me a little and I really enjoyed the Argent scenes.
The cover was indeed a nice homage to The Adventures of Robin Hood (even though I didn't catch it until David made mention.)
I now look forward to seeing what Brian does with each cover and I hope he sticks around for as long as Jay does the series.
Great job all around.

Really keen issue, but I don't really like the addition of Anarky.. I am sure he's there for a purpose though. I like the scenes with Ravager.. but I thought it was a little bogged down by not knowing how Argent is going to fit into the picture..
Definitely some answered questions here... which is really good for an ongoing series.
Cover was awesome. Brian's work was really well done.
Not as strong as previous issues... **** from me.
