A nice transitional issue, with building mood. I liked Petra a lot, she's larger than life. Also I liked little details, like Tara's crooked smile. I'm curious to see whether the magical realms will provide a counteraction to the Markovians' power. And I'm wondering - if Petra and Brion are destabilized on some elemental level, will Tara be jeopardized as well? Just because they are on opposite sides, it's easy to forget that the Markovs share innate connections, and if they are destroyed, Tara might be destroyed as well. I'm also wondering if Jay will show more on how the Markovians could dominate the whole earth with their powers, and whether some 'silver bullet' from the heroes, or combination of heroes, that will undermine that control.

OH MY GOD THINGS ARE HAPPENING!
Don't get me wrong, I love this series, but it just seems like we've been faffing about this world for the past thirty-odd issues. With this, we finally see the overarcing story move forward and it's great to read. Here's hoping the next issues keep being great.
