Hey, is anybody using Google+ or Graphic.ly? This is such a creative community, it'd be cool to have a Google+ group or a Graphic.ly group where we could talk about DC comics.
Thinking about a Xmas gift to myself of a Graphic.ly account. Is anybody using it? Is it better than Comixology?

I think most of us are on facebook. I have a Google+ account, but none of my friends really use it, so I rarely log in on it. Also Graphic.ly does not offer DC comics. I think DC has limited access to their viewer or Comixology who makes their viewer. Maybe I am just plain old. I have to be honest, I don't buy digital comics. I love the feel and smell of a freshly printed comic.

I've been buying some of my DC stuff on Comixology. They're available the same day as print and it saves space in my dorm room because I don't have stacks upon stacks of comics. Though there are some that I still buy in print.

Having tried the relaunch on Comixology with my iPad, I've become a convert. It's nice to have physical comics, but I just don't have the space for them. Now, I can buy 'em, read 'em and "store 'em" so much easier. no loose comics lying aroudn waiting for me to get around to storing them away, no storage needs, it's simple and I'm really enjoying the panel-to-panel reading style too. It's very cool. I'll continue to buy trades of things, of course, because I LOOOVVVE books (booksbooksbooksbooks), but monthly pamphlets? It's digital for me.
Take care Don

I wonder why Graphicly doesn't have DC content? I don't like the Flash-based interface of Comixology, but I haven't tried it on my tablet. Maybe it will be better.
Can you buy gift cards for Comixology? Any social interaction on Comixology (leaving notes on panels, discussing episodes with other fans, etc.).
A DC2 Group on Comixology would be cool. I'm also thinking of ways I can reconnect with my brothers. They live far away, and we are all busy dealing with life.
Paper versus digital. I gave up on paper a while ago. I can't bring myself to spend more than $2 on a comic, and even $2 is too much. Trades are fun, but you wait so long for them to come out.

DC has same day digital comics, have their own app to sell them, using the Comixology engine. They want you to buy the comics through their interfaces, so they can make more profits, and control how the story is told to the reader. I bought my first web comic using the DC comics app. It was Aquaman believe it or not. After reading it through my iPad I think I still like reading real comic books more. But I do see it's merits.
