You have a rather interesting take on what at first look appears to be an issue of Freedom Fighters. I had to double check to make sure this wasn't an Earth X title or whatever we're calling it these days in the 2nerverse. I really haven't followed Batman books for a while so I'm not too familiar with the current Man-of-the Bats and company and don't know if he resembles the DC version. I'll probably be back for issue 2 if only to see who you picked for this version of Fr er I mean Global Guardians. I'm not sure we need another Fourth Reich right now but I do realise it's difficult coming up with new concepts.
I'm German so I was able to read the invocation by Klingeman but I'm sure there may have been members who couldn't. I'm not sure if the answer is providing a translation as a footnote or just hope they have enough ambition to go to Google and find a translation program.

For starters, I'd like to give a hand to my co-author Fantomas, who has been hugely helpful in writing this series. Now then... You have a rather interesting take on what at first look appears to be an issue of Freedom Fighters. I had to double check to make sure this wasn't an Earth X title or whatever we're calling it these days in the 2nerverse. When I was putting this series together, I knew I wanted to avoid most of the classic Global Guardians members, as they always felt a little too gimmicky to me. Uncle Sam was chosen because I thought he'd be interesting (and he will). Don't worry, the next issue will have a more international flavor. What can I say? Nazis make for good villains. People can translate if they want to. I assumed most people would just take it as face value as "magic foreign words". Thanks for reading and thanks for commenting! -UDC

Really enjoyed this issue, can't wait for the next one. I've already told you how much I like what you've done with RR, but I don't mind saying it again. I really haven't followed Batman books for a while so I'm not too familiar with the current Man-of-the Bats and company and don't know if he resembles the DC version. Ah, I'm writing a Batman Inc. series that ought to clarify that. This is a Raven Red before the launching of Inc, so just assume there has been little contact with Batman and that his dad is still a small-time hero with minimal recognition. Loving the new cover, by the way.

I know that I am late to the party, but , I really enjoyed this issue. I am also saddened that a second issue has not materialized. Any chances of seeing that issue any time soon ?

If you've got the ideas, kaiser, you should pitch it and start writing.
It sounds like you've got some interesting material to work with there.

"If you want to do so much take yourself and write". Sorry for bothering them I really believed I would be helping but lately the "good will" only works on a "take it yourself and make up is so important to you"

Um Kaiser, I think you read that wrong. That was an invitation to *be the writer*. Not an attack. Nobody else is doing it; we can always use writers, by all means step up. It's a positive, not a negative.

Sorry for "encouraging you" because I thought "you had good ideas" that it would be "cool to read". Funny you! Every time I want to make someone shut up you say "why do not you write?" I tell you why I do not write, do not write because I no have real talent as a writer only some interesting ideas in which nobody thinks with these characters that nobody but me loves nobody but me remembers, nobody but me thinks that are "important" enough to be even remembered. If by chance I had minimal talent as a writer myself write stories with these ideas but I did not have! So I give these ideas in which nobody thinks with these characters that only I seem to love for free without waiting any payment or recognition for them just asking someone, anyone, use these ideas or else "be inspired" them to write something! Give these ideas when no one else would think or would be interested in giving them in the vain hope that someone with the talent that I do not have to be interested in them and use but apparently, it is asking too much.

If you want your ideas to come to life, YOU have to bring them to life. There's no such thing as a free lunch. We are a site with a few active writers, most of who are busy enough as it is working on their own titles. Unfortunately, we just don't have the manpower to take your ideas and turn them into reality. If you want to see them come to life, you're going to have to do that yourself. If you're worried that you're not a talented enough writer, try to write an issue anyway. We have some very talented editors here who would be more than happy to help you bring your writing up to the appropriate level. If you're truly passionate about the Global Guardians (and according to you, you're the only one who loves or remembers them) then by all means, please take that passion and turn it into a story. Whatever you decide to do, PLEASE do not act as if your ideas are some generous gift you're bestowing upon us and we are insulting you by not dedicating hours upon hours to bringing them to live. Above all, please try to be a bit more polite. Both Fantomas and arcalian were supportive and encouraging of your ideas, there's no need to act so rudely towards them.

An interesting #1, short, with what felt like a lack of focus. Was this a joint effort? It felt like it lacked a singular focus, and maybe that damaged the direction you were taking. I'm not saying it was AWFUL, don't get me wrong, but I came in expecting a punchy, grand debut issue, but it felt disjointed. I see the ties with Batman, Inc (very cool work, guys. I'm a big fan of a shared continuity) but then nothing much of anything came of the issue. The board wasn't set with pieces, there was no indication of direction, just a "Now", "Then" and "NAZIS" (was it only three scenes? It was a REALLY short issue) and I wanted MORE.
I'd be curious how this tiea into the Danger Trail / Justice Society of America continuity. Are you winding your way around those title, or going in another direction? Danger Trail was a real nice boutique title when it launched, unlike anything on the site, and I'd love to see something along those lines again.
Quick thing: I love Uncle Sam as a character-- he just seems so bloody ridiculous, which isn't always a bad thing-- and I'd like to see more of him. My first exposure to him was Crisis on Infinite Earths and then Superman / Batman, but not much else. Sure, he died in Infinite Crisis... okay, this guy has had short shrift, so I'll be interested in seeing where you go with him.
Is this title still on the cards? No #2 for a while, looks like. What's coming next? If the threads aren't picked up, are we going to see some follow through in Batman, Inc?

Oh wow, ha, shit blew up around here, didn't it? I didn't miss that nonsense in my absence.
I'll say this though: BRING ME MORE GLOBAL GUARDIANS, GUYS.
Don't let misplaced negativity impact your output and wanting! Do what you want when you want! This is the DC2!
