Chapter 1: The KryptonianThe planet Krypton had once been in danger. Not from its own sun; but rather, a strange, alien source of light called Parallax threatened it’s very existence. But Parallax was stopped by five Green Lanterns, sent by the Guardians to protect the planet. All five Lanterns sacrificed their lives to stop Parallax, but the five rings of the Lanterns sought new wearers, searching for those with enough will power to use them. One found a worthy bearer amongst the Kryptonians themselves; his name was Kal-El; son of King Jor-El.
Kal-El saw how corrupt the world had become and his father, who was sadly corrupted with it. General Zod had become more of a son to Jor-El than Kal-El, and decided to lead a war against Themyscria, the Paradise planet. King Jor-El did nothing to prevent this. Hundreds of years before the war, the Themyscrians gained the power of the Star Sapphires. But the powers of the Sapphires was not enough to halt the invasion.
When Kal- El received the ring he was taken to Oa, the planet of the Green Lanterns. He was trained to use his powers in secret for 5 years. Kal-El trained personally under Kilowog, who described Kal-El as “The best Lantern I have ever trained”. His first mission as Green Lantern of Sector 2349 was to end the war against Themyscria. But for the young Kryptonian Lantern, the path to peace was far from clear...--
The Plains of ThemyscriaOne warrior from each army stepped forward. The first was General Zod; the other, Hippolyte, Queen of Themyscria.
General Zod was first to speak. “So Amazon, are you prepared to negotiate the terms of your surrender?”
“Never, Kryptonian!”
The two combatants raised their swords and engaged in battle, their armies following their lead. The two forces clashed with awesome power. Zod was the first to draw blood from Hippolyte, but she fought on. She swung her sword at Zod again and again, but he dodged every time. Then, his blade pierced her side. The two armies stopped, frozen in the moment. Zod laid her to the ground softly. From a distance, there was a scream of horror and rage.
“MOTHER!”
“GO BACK DIANA! This fight is not yours!”
Diana did not listen to her mother’s warning. Zod knocked Diana to the ground unconscious. Her army rescued her and retreated, carrying her away.
Zod let them go; he enjoyed hunting down his prey. His overconfidence would cost him.
--
1 month later…Another battle was taking place, but this time in a Themyscrian city. The attack was unexpected; Zod had planned his ambush well. Thousands died. Diana battled Zod for the first time, properly. She would not repeat the mistake she made when her mother fell.
But Kal-El was watching.
I can see it from here, in the sky. But it is not time for my first strike. Zod must die, but not now, not here. And not by my hand. Kal-El floated high up in the atmosphere, unnoticed by any soldier. He watched Diana battle Zod, and she was winning. But Kal-El had decided not to let her kill him.
The war will not end here. Not yet.Zod was disarmed by Diana, defeated. The Themyscrian drove him to his knees. She stared down into his eyes; there was no remorse in them. He laughed as he waited for the death blow. As she swung, the blade was broken by a green barrier. Both of them were shocked. Diana looked up; Kal-El slowly flew down to meet them.
“No, his death will not happen here,” Kal-El said. “Not by your hand. You only seek revenge, it is not right. This is not the justice your mother would have wanted. Let him go, your majesty.”
“How dare you!” Diana’s eyes flashed with rage. “Zod must die for what he has done to my mother and my city, and you protect this monster?! Guards, attack!”
Four guards came to Diana’s aid, firing blast after blast at Kal-El with their energy spears. Kal-El used his ring to put up a force field. The blasts were blocked, causing him no harm. He did not enjoy this, but he felt it was the right decision.
Justice, he reflected,
is never easy. Reluctantly, he flew at them. using his ring to knock all four to the ground. Screaming in rage, Diana attacked him from behind. Her sword passed through his ring-powered defenses, and scraped his left shoulder. Surprised, he shouted in pain. He knocked her away, but while he was distracted by her, one of her guards blasted him. He fell; he fell hard. The impact caused a small crater, and many of both armies stumbled. The shockwave resonated in the air. Recovering, Kal-El trapped Diana and the four guards in a bubble of green power and slowly drained the air away. They collapsed into unconsciousness, and he dismissed the bubble. He sought only to incapacitate, not kill them.
Kal-El floated to Diana and picked her up. “Forgive me Princess,” he said, filled with guilt and sorrow.
The Kryptonian army cheered for Kal-El, in celebration of what they thought was their victory. Zod walked towards Kal-El and announced to the army…
“THREE CHEERS FOR THE SUPER-MAN!”
The Kryptonians cheered. But as Zod put his hand on Kal-El’s shoulder, he angrily brushed it off. “I did not do this for you, Zod, nor for your twisted dreams of conquest. I saved your life, but you have lost the battle. The Themyscrians have fought bravely, and you have no right to take their world. Now, get the army out of here.”
Zod made to refuse, until he saw the angry glare in Kal-El’s eye. He gave a mock bow. “Very well, Super-Man. But we shall return.”
When Kal-El turned around, he saw that Diana was gone. She had recovered more quickly than he had expected. In a way he was relieved; he did not wish to do her harm. Flying up into the atmosphere, he scanned the planet, but some parts of it were shielded from his detection by the power of the Star Sapphires. But she had not used it in the battle, or to escape him. Why not? Perhaps she had not been imbued with the power of the Sapphires yet? Kal-El wasn’t sure. Others with the power of the Sapphires must have rescued her while he was busy with Zod.
He watched Zod’s ships leave the planet, then headed to Oa.
--
Kal-El knelt before the Guardians, and asked them about the secrets of the Star Sapphires. The Guardians explained to Kal-El the other energies and what they represented. The Star Sapphires used pink energy as a symbol of love.
“Love?” Kal-El repeated disbelievingly.
“Do not doubt their power,” the Guardian called Ganthet warned him. “Love can be as strong as willpower. The Sapphires have existed for almost as long as the Lantern Corps has. They wear crowns that are imbued with a pink energy crystal, just as the Lanterns use rings.”
Kal-El nodded slowly. “I must prepare; Diana will not forgive me. She will wish to do battle again.”
The Guardians nodded. “It will hardly be the first time that Lanterns and Sapphires have been opposed.”
--
ThemyscriaNot only had Diana been granted the power of the Star Sapphires, but now she also wielded the ancient lasso of Athena herself. She had already suspected that to meet the Super-Man power against power might not be enough, and sought every advantage. But some of the other Sapphires disagreed.
“Diana, you cannot be serious!”
“I must become the avatar of Athena; to beat this ‘Super-Man’ I must harness her powers.”
“But Wonder Woman’s power is too much for even you to handle!”
Diana sucked in a breath, trying to contain her irritation. “This is necessary--”
A soldier ran in, her face flushed with urgency. “Your highness! Two ships approach!”
“Are they Kryptonian?”
“I can’t tell, your highness! I’ve never seen anything like it; shall I give the order to attack?”
Diana considered, then reluctantly said, “I…. I think you must. We can’t be too careful after the invasion.”
The Amazons were not aware that the ships came from Earth…and inside the ships were two soldiers who did not expect what was coming, nor did they know of war one of them would soon join.

Chapter 2: The HumanSector 2349; Deep SpaceTwo ships flew through space, each carrying one of the remaining humans from the Watch Tower. One was piloted by Adam Strange, a new recruit to the Robin squadron; the other contained Bruce Wayne, a 9 year veteran of the Bat squadron. The history of their home planet is unknown to others, but for them, the memories would never fade...
--
Earth, 2017Gotham City had once been filled with criminals and innocents alike… but it had become a wasteland of death. A fighter jet flew overhead, being chased by two Thanagarians. Inside the jet was Hal Jordan, of the Ferris Air Fighters. He was already experienced in battle. But it might not be enough against this terrible enemy. The two Thanagarians caught up with him; they smashed his jet with their maces over and over, damaging the fuselage.
“BRUCE!” Hal shouted into his radio. “I’M GONNA NEED SOME HELP DOWN HERE!”
The Thanagarians ripped off the top of the jet, and reached for Jordan. Before they could grab him they were shot off of the jet by a hail of bullets. Hal looked up as another jet flew by. Inside of it was Bruce.
“We better report to the Watch Tower, Jordan. They’ll be curious to know that the Thanagarians have reached Gotham.”
“Uh, that’s great but...still need some help?” Hal called as his now ripped-open cockpit let the air scream around him.
--
Now...As Bruce and Strange flew through space, they noticed something...
“Um… Bruce it looks like we’re getting too far from the Watch Tower.”
“I know Strange. But it gets worse”
“Worse how?”
“Because we are flying towards an unknown planet.”
Mere seconds after Bruce made this observation, something smashed into Strange’s plane.
“What was that?!”
“A woman…”
“What did you say?”
“A woman is right outside your plane!”
Adam Strange looks outside his space craft and indeed saw a woman in pink armor.
“How is she--?”
Before Strange could finish asking the question, five more similarly armored women arrived.
“Strange, Maneuver 1-12-6-RED!”
“Got it!”
But before Strange could execute the maneuver, one of the women struck his ship’s fuel lines.
The resulting explosion destroyed Strange’s ship and him with it, and sheared off one wing of Bruce’s ship.
“STRANGE!”
Bruce’s space craft plummeted towards the unknown world. Emergency alarms brayed in his cockpit, red lights flashing.
“Computer, override code WEST!”
"ACKNOWLEDGED."
The ship activated the jet pack attachment of Bruce’s flight suit. As the ship began to overheat, it ejected Bruce into the upper atmosphere. Bruce attempted to activate the jet pack, but it wouldn’t function; he realized that it must have been damaged.
“Computer, activate Free Fall: High Velocity Mode!”
“ACTIVATING.”
A cape ejected out of the suit, letting Bruce glide slowly to safety. He could see he was coming down towards a beach. Trying to put the death of Adam Strange out of his mind, he focused on survival. There had to be a way out of this; he just didn’t know what it was yet.
When he was 10 feet above the beach, a pink lasso wrapped around his waist, he then fell to the ground and landed on his right shoulder.
As he lay on the beach, he heard feet walking towards him; he opened his eyes to see three of the pink-armored women walking his way.
“What is your business here?” One of them demanded.
He could only spit blood in reply.
One of them stomped on his face, making him black out...
--
2 hours later…Bruce woke up in a dark room.
“So, I am leading a war and you decide to interrupt me. I expected no better from a BAT-MAN.”
Bat-Man? Bruce thought. She must have seen the markings on his ship when she attacked it.
He looked up and saw a woman walking out of the shadows. Her eyes and clothes, pink and long black hair. Her crown generated a faint pink light.
What is going on?She asked “Do you come from Krypton?”
“Krypton?”
Bruce Wayne had survived, but did not know what world he was on, or why.. But soon ALL would be revealed to him, and he would learn his new role in the Kryptonian/Themyscrian war...
--
Chapter 3: The AmazonThemyscira, 2 hours after the Capture of Bruce Wayne“Tell me now! Who sent you?”
“I’m telling you! I don’t know who Zod is. And no one sent us. Strange and I were the last survivors of the Watch Tower.”
“Then---”
Before Diana could finish her question, she was interrupted by a Themyscrian guard.
“Your highness, the stars are aligned, now is the time.”
“Very well. Keep a guard on this ‘BAT-MAN’. We don’t want him to escape.”
The guard escorted Diana out of the room. Another guard stood guard over Bruce, but had turned her back on him. Careful not to make any noise, Bruce pulled a combat knife out of a secret compartment in his belt to cut the ropes binding him to the chair.
--
Outside, Diana and two guards marched up a stair case built into a hill. Above was a large boulder, with the statue of a woman standing on it. The sky was dark, and the stars aligned, shining a light upon the statue. The women began chanting, a pink aura surrounded the statue, then Diana. Diana’s eyes then turned completely pink as she was being lifted off the ground. Her clothes then changed, to that of the clothes the statue was wearing.
As Diana was slowly being lowered back to the ground, recovering from her transformation, Her guards were taken out, one by one. Diana turned around, to see that her guards were gone.
“Guards?” She looked around, then called louder. “Guards!”
Sixth other Themyscrians answered her call. “Yes, your Highness?”
“Artemis and Duria were with me, but during my transformation, they vanished. Find them.”
--
The first guard searched around one of the largest trees, but she was then pulled up into it. When she tried to scream, her mouth was covered. When she saw her attacker, she noticed his shape, that of a bat. And those eyes, those haunting eyes. The eyes were white as a cloud, with no emotion.
The second came across the first’s body. She went down the easiest; all Bruce needed to do was punch her hard in the rib cage. He broke three ribs on her left side and caused some external bleeding. The third guard was only ten feet away when that happened. She saw the ‘Bat-Man’ supposedly ‘draining’ her fellow Themyscrian of her blood. She shouted and charged, but Bruce was too quick. It was odd, Bruce thought; with every punch he seemed to become stronger.
The next two just needed to have their heads bashed together, leaving the last one alone.
--
Diana heard the screams of the last of the six from half a mile away, but they were quickly cut short.
Diana waited for her new threat to come for her. She knew it was strong, whatever it was, because the Amazons were the strongest warriors in the galaxy. She pulled out her lasso, ready to catch it if it pounced at her. She thought it couldn’t be a woman; it had to be an animal. She was right about one thing, it wasn’t a woman; it wasn’t even an Amazon.
The large creature came slowly out of the darkness; its shape would put fear into anyone it met, but not Diana. Diana had a new understanding of fear, that the only thing to fear is fear itself, and so she learned to conquer it.
The monster spoke in a deep, yet familiar tone.
“Your soldiers have been defeated. If you don’t let me go you’ll still be coughing up your own blood a month from now.”
“Unlikely, beast. You are obviously not man or any other creature I have ever encountered. What are you? Are you a demon sent by Hades?”
“No… but how did you put it? Oh yes, BAT-MAN.”
“So I was right, I never encountered a creature such as you before.”
“No… I’m much, much worse than you can imagine.”
“Is that so?”
The two warriors stood in their places.
“Earth. You are from Earth.”
“Correct.”
“Then you are of the same species as the great and powerful Diana Trevor?”
“Possibly.”
“Then you possess her great powers as well…”
Bruce did not understand what she meant. He knew that when he was fighting the Theymiscrians he had become stronger, but still did not realize the full extent of his transformation.
“Well this match shall be even between us. Because I now possess the powers of the great WONDER WOMAN!”
Bruce pulled out his ray-gun, but Wonder Woman fired a blast of Sapphire energy at him...
