Well, I can't exactly come in here and tell myself how good a job I did but then I only wrote 25% of this thing I rather liked James' first segment. I'm a little familiar with the mythical Nimue, not terribly so if she's ever appeared in the comics before. But she was a very neat character, very motherly for sure, kind of ethereal and no-nonsense at the same time which was an interesting combination. The establishing scene for Jennifer was also very fun and well-done. Don's parts of the Christmas Trail this year I thought were just great. The first especially, looking back on Greg, after such a long career but almost before his prime even, and knowing what's going to happen to him. I loved Sidney in part three also, he made a great energetic youngster. And I'm a sap for Hawkman and Hawkgirl Happy holidays all

It's interesting as I read this year's stories that I kept on thinking about retrospection, which is completely appropriate for Christmas as we take a few moments to remember and honor the past. I won't talk about my own story but I felt that it was time to revisit the characters from Weird War Tales. Don and Sam's story... well... I would give my left arm if I could ever turn a phrase like you two. Not only did we touch on the Soldiers, the JSA, Justice League, Birds of Prey and Danger Trail... *whew!* In short, the whole enchilada. But, again, we have the past still important as old Cyril is still being felt (and interacting with) in the world. I loved Rose Psychic being used and he talk with Noelle DID NOT make me tear up, honest. I've been wondering when we'd see Saturnalia again and that answered that question. Now I really need to get back to reading Birds of Prey and get caught up on the new Speed. Excellent job and I'll be here next year for the next one and read to participate. Heck, maybe a Creature Commandos Christmas next time?

Sorry it took me a few days to get to this, but it was well worth the wait! Seeing Shiera and Speed interact was awesome, and their moments with the soon-to-be-Vigilante (of the past) was great. I hadn't thought about the fact that the cabin wouldn't be standing if he didn't MEAN something to Opal, but when you said it I loved it, it made perfect sense. They all interacted so perfectly; great, human dialogue, great family feel, everything we needed. The Rose Psychic scenes were heartbreaking at the end. Rose realising she didn't think about Richard every single day? God, that hurt. But the scenes before with Noelle softened the blow, made it less of a tearjerker, but still, jeez, that smarted hard. That final instalment sealed the deal for me though. The and-all-that-could-have-been with Katar Hol tying in PERFECTLY with Justice League #2 and New Outsiders Special #1 and what he's been through, Kendra finally saying everything she needed to say, it was a beautiful, well-earned moment that topped off a great Christmas special. Thanks, guys!
