I received Mark's edits for our next issue-- Justice League #9-- and Jamie Rimmer and I have a slate of cool imagery planned for what is the start of our next phase of the title after all that Kobra madness!
Jamie and I have also discussed story threads taking us well into 2016 and beyond, so we're trying to figure out if a potential bi-weekly schedule is possible starting from January 2016-- probably not, but why not do something bat-shit crazy?
While the issues aren't presented as such, it feels like we're approaching stories in your standard six-seven chunks. For example, Kobra was our main villain from #1 to #7, even if he didn't appear in each issue, and our next phase involves all kinds of madness borrowed from the Wildstorm universe. Next year we're going to get scary, mythological and paranoid (not in that order), and after that... well, we have to have a crisis at some point, don't we?
In addition, Don and I have some really cool plans for the shared universe that will be coming soon, and next week UltimateDC's new title, Secret Six, launches! Two issues in the bag and I'm sure plenty more to come. If anyone is interested in doing covers, please let me know! It's a dark and gritty look at the underbelly of DC2's criminal underworld, and it's a book that's going to go places-- all over the world, if UDC has his way!
