I just finished reading batman vol.1 by scott Snyder for the new 52 and all I can say is....wow. I just can't see how he is able to write something like this.

Snyder's run has been really enjoyable and genuinely creepy. Every element he introduces is rewarding and I like how the creative team have never been reductive-- they've never taken anything off the board without introducing something immense to replace it, and even then, the only thing they've removed is Bruce from the role of Batman!! Now we have a brand new Batman and the exploration is fascinating. I love discussions as to what 'the Batman' means, and Snyder is just the guy to do it.
And who would have thought Capullo would be working on THE premier title that DC puts out after XXX amount of time at Image on Spawn? I love how he bucks the 'house style' that DC were intent on using throughout the start of the newDC launch (Ivan-Reis-by-way-of-Jim-Lee) and utilises a visual style that is uniquely his.
I guess my big thing about Batman is reading really creepy stories that push Batman as far as he can. In fact, that's something I intend to follow up on here...
