So it's official...Charlie is the scape goat...or the scape lamb.
I read the pros for it in the workshop, I still say NAY, even with the All-Star creative staff that has been assembled for both books. Yes I almost likely never read everyones' work here on DC2, so let the people vote.
But from personal experience, never second guess yourself and go forward.

I thought this was interesting. Looking at the poll in the workshop to this one and i notice that 9-5 in favor of it and then 12-10 or as Charlie points out 13-9. Interesting indeed.
Those are the facts.

oh...no...Charlie may...hurt...me. I must...run a...way. Be first he has to cross the Altantic into JFK, get mugged in NYC for his money and then get in my neck of the woods for his kicks and everything else. Then he realizes while he is away I drew Doomsday, impaling Guardian. And yeah Caesar would be dead long before that happened and Steel would be busy with Lois Lane to help out. LightRay then got deported back to New Genesis, just cuz he left his Alien Work Visa at home. ;D

I think the second team should be Justice League Antarctica. If you can make those guys cool and make a working monthly title, you'll be proclaimed writing gods

Mike wants an altar. Oh no, his head is not going fit into the website. Or Charlie is going to your first disciple.

All you want is an altar? I'd ask for a state. Or a continent. Or both. Maybe Wyoming, Montana, and Antarctica. Just to build a giant wonderland and a fortress of solitude where I'll instead have hundreds of worshipers who happen to be gorgeous ladies who happen to be comic geeks.
Yeah. Sounds good.
You want an altar? I'll buy you a computer desk from Ikea and put some playdoh sculptures of you up

I vote nay... One book, one united team. If you increase the number of teams you end up with the X-Men. I say shake up the membership (though the book hasn't been around long enough to warrant a shake up IMO). Either way we go, can someone please fix the Martian Manhunters costume!?!?! I agree. MM has way too complicated and unpleasant a costume...I'd take suspenders-over-underwear-with-cape any day

One team, one title. The best of DC2 in ONE title. Multiple titles of the same names will be hard to maintain. DCU struggled to do so in the past. I doubt that would be the case here, but I would play it safe than sorry.
I mentioned before, that in the poll that was in the writer's workshop to the poll in the open forum, I noticed that majority of the yea votes are from the staff and majority of the nay are from the other members. 12-10 in the open forum and 9-7 in the Writer's Workshop. So if you remove the staff and you get a tie of 3-3. But I know the Charlie will say that Ramon is on the yea side, so 13-9 to 9-7 equals 4-2 in favor of the two separate League teams.
So smite me now

There is one other consideration to hold in regards to one or two titles...what if there's people really excited and interested in doing this second book? This is a fanfiction site...we don't have to worry about a book having a profit margin or be commercially successful, right? So it seems to me that if people WANT to do the titles, why shouldn't they get the chance? Just a thought (which I'm sure will be ably and quickly refuted, but hey, just something to throw out there).
Take care Don

Just a thought (which I'm sure will be ably and quickly refuted, but hey, just something to throw out there). I don't see that as a major consideration (also the converse might be true with other writers out there who might want to write a non-divided Justice League). As far as I'm concerned, the main consideration here is the concept, i.e. should the Justice League be divided, rather than what the writers want (and the readers shouldn't even consider the writers' feelings, or mine for that matter, when casting the vote). To use a bad analogy, if two writers wanted to write Superman, and I suggested splitting him into Superman-Red and Superman-Blue to get round it, then I'm sure that the concept would be the main consideration rather than the writers' wishes. Also, since you bring up profit margins - as a flagship title we should worry about the Justice League(s)'s popularity (regardless of how the vote goes). This is probably one of the titles that newcomers will check out first, so we want it to persuade them to stick around the DC2 Universe and sample the other titles here. Finally, as a general point, just because a writer wants to do something doesn't mean they should automatically be given carte blanche. All sorts of factors such as the concept, quality and impact on other writers all need to be taken into consideration first.

So smite me now Mischief I think I'm going to do the opposite of that EXALT! And one goes for MarkyMark too, for showing why he's making the big bucks. I pretty much agree with his point. Being a newbie, the continuity here is a real long one (the vast majority of the issues are in the high teen almost in the twenties) and some what confusing. I think Justice League would be a perfect title to promote to and introduce new readers to the differences in continutity but having two of them just makes it more and more confusing and when things get confusing for something that's supposed to be a lesuire time activity, most people just look to something else.
