All of the Seven Soldiers books. Astonishing X-men. Conan. Justice. Flash for the Rogue War storyline. Aquaman here and there. All-Star Batman and Robin. And I plan on getting All-Star Superman and Infinite Crisis. Currently reading Sandman Mystery Theater: The Tarantula on recommendation.  |

I picked up Busiek/Immonen (spelling may be wrong. I be like tired?) Superman: Secret Identity... And I must say that it is the best Superman story since......

Yeah... I ranted on about how much I hate big crossover events and how they're just cynical marketing scams to make you buy stuff you wouldn't normally get.
So she started buying all the 'event' stuff from Identity Crisis onwards. She even bought my Nightwing for me the other week 'cause it was a Villains United tie-in.
I haven't told her that despite my complaints I WOULD have bought all this stuff myself. I just don't have the heart.

Might as well reply, though I don't really pick up books, more storylines/arcs that catch my eye. (like No-Man's Land)

Ooh! A fellow GRRM fan! Looking forward to book four which is out here in about a weeks time. The man himself is doing a signing in Waterstones where I live. Not sure if I'm going though. Sadly It sounds as though all my favourite characters may not appear again until book 5  Tyrion Rocks! |
