If Dragonbat was talking about Koriand'r, it's a trick question! She first appeared in the free preview which was published in some issue of DC comics presents, I beleive... can't remeber the issue number.

As Starfire it was Teen Titans #18
I think as Red Star it was New Teen Titans #18
Seems to me I remember that they were the same issue number, but different volumes.

OK!
The character of Mon-El/Lar Gand/Valor/M'onel first appeared in Superboy #89 in 1961 in a story called 'Superboy's Big Brother' ... But even way back then he was a retconned character! Can anyone tell me when the original version of this character first appeared, what book & issue it was in and what his original name was?
Good luck!

OK. When Clark Kent worked at WGBS there was a weatherman there named Oscar Asherman. What was Oscar before WGBS?

Wild guess but, going by his initials, was he one of those little blue guys in charge of the Green Lanterns?

I think you may have us here, Roy. My guess is... He was a thug, whom Superman convinced to go staright, and got him a job at WGBS. Although the Oan guess is pretty clever.

At a guess, he was some other character in disguise. Batman seems too obvious, The Human Target too unlikely, Clark Kent too contrived, so, realising that the WGBS days included Kirby's Jimmy Olsen, I'll go for the least believable option of all. Was he Don Rickles?

Well since he didn't exist before WGBS, was he:
a) Someone under a witness protection program who'd had plastic surgery and adopted a new identity.
b) A clone or somesuch from that DNA project thing going on in Kirby's Jimmy Olsen
c) Somebody who'd been wished into being in that story "The Kid Who Could Wish Up Weathermen"
d) A hoax, a dream or an imaginary story
