Aw, c'mon guys. Don't chicken out! You can only be offended if you choose to be. Ellen: That's very interesting stuff and an admirable path. And now I know why you don't have a TV! Legacy: A lot of people have found their own truths. I'm glad you've found yours. John: The best part of Christianity to me seemed to always be the word of Christ himself and not the constructs of the churches. The heaven and hell mythologies are a little lost on me. In my opinion, Jesus was a pretty cool guy (with a flair for transcendentalism) and mostly told people not to be a-holes to each other. He helped others and treated those with respect that would have been otherwise disregarded and looked down on. I think it's interesting how much his philosophy had in common with Siddhartha Guatama. I can respect any teacher who achieves enlightenment and then attempts the very difficult task of sharing it with others. But that's just my take on the religion. I am curious what religions you are talking about here. (And don't say Scientology, they'll come looking for us!! Ha.)

Okay, sorry, nevermind.
Thanks for the discussion guys. The worthwhile ones are never easy but I can understand the reasoning in closing it up. I do think it was informative and insightful, and it's good to see we're not all a bunch of godless heathens. ;D
Anyone who found something here that interested them or they were curious about, I do encourage you to continue in other forums or means of communications, because I do think it is an important topic.
