That's the first animated Batman movie that went straight to video? I haven't seen any of the recent animated movies. It was actually released in theaters but it flopped even though it was the best Batman movie ever made at the time, I would even say that it is as good if not better than Batman Begins. Sub-Zero was the first Batman movie that went straight to video.

you know, mask of the phantasm was pretty good. but honestly, all of the animated comic programs that the wb has done (aside from teen titans, imo) have been absolutely fantastic... even that batman versus dracula straight to video from last month was good.

You know, Teen Titans isn't that horrible. Yeah, the manga influences get to be a bit much, but I don't completely hate the show...although I was a little lost at first. I really, really do wish they'd get through all that legal chow-chow and bring in Donna Troy, at least for an episode if nothing else.
But, yeah, MotP was really very good. I would have loved to see her make a couple of other appearances in the DCAU, beyond the tiny cameo she recently had in JLU. It'd be interesting to see her team up with/come across Huntress, really.

OK, you know what Im just gonna say it....I loved Hulk, Daredevil and Elektra. There I said it, bring on the flying rotten eggs.....or trash can lids or whatever. No I think I've actually really liked ever comic film I have seen (by comic I mean graphic novels......not like Garfield). I really did like the Nick Fury film and the Rocketeer but I think I'll go for.....Hellboy...no wait, Bullet proof monk, no no League of X-traordinary Gents. Yeah.......so basically any film based on a graphic novel I like equally.

I never saw Catwoman, but I LOVE Daredevil. Never seen Hulk either, but I have a friend I may borrow it off... Daredevil was just plain cool.

i liked it kevin smith was in it, but a few things aggrivated me. mostly elektra. if you are going to use the frank miller story can you at least get the fact that elektra was a trained assasin right??? or is that too much to ask?

Other then the fact that they really rushed the Elektra story line I liked Daredevil as well. Nobody has really mentioned the FF. I haven't seen it yet, but is it even worth renting on dvd?

Yeah... Stay away from Fantastic Four. It was well dodgy. My girlfriend and I came out and each had a diffrent theory about why Dr Doom was fighting them. Plus... If five super-powered strangers trashed your neighbourhood in a private quarrel, would you cheer? No you'd call the authorities. The action scenes aren't even all that exciting in themselves... once you've finished trying to work out why there's an action scene taking place at all. And the less said about the random insertion of motorbike scenes with rock music in the background the better. Talk about filler. I thought Michael Chiklis was good as the Thing though.

what movie isnt better with the motorbike/rock music combo??? if that was in every movie the industry would not be where it is today. everymovie should have it... aside from I Am Sam... ouch that'd suck.

You guys have to remember they want to keep it close to the comics but still original enough to draw in new audiences. What you're supposed to see is one man's interpretation of a story (a rather a team of people's) and not just what you want to see in live action.

You may be on to something there. Perhaps if they had more motorbike/rock music combo, Steele Magnolia's would have been a much better movie. Dolly Parton on a motorbike singing Back in Black! I can see it now...

I'd like to point out here that I have never read any Fantastic Four comic in my life. Whether it was a good adaptation or not, I cannot say. Before entering the cinema I had no preconceived ideas about how it should be, or what I wanted to see. I judge it not as an adaptation, but just as a film, on its own merits.
And it sucked. I'm soooooo glad I didn't have to pay for my ticket!

I just wonder what their going to call it, since there's already a number in the title.
Can't do Fantastic 4 2
nor FF2 since it could be Final Fantasy 2 or something else.
Fantastic 4 II is lame.
Fantastic 42? pukarama!
About the only sensible thing is to not give the sequel a number.
What do y'all think?

-beast actually DOESNT look half bad storm however has been downgraded -in that picture cyclops looks astonishingly (see what i did there? ;D) like ben stiller -kitty pryde is ok (for the third time) -that juggernaught is not -i still see no gambit and prey its not the young one throwing the airplane -that guy(sean baby) has weird pink hair.

Seanbaby's the coolest. He's even co-hosted a few things on G4 I think.
I'm jsut not sure yet if they can balance all the new characters in X3. At this point it's getting pretty nuts.

I've tried watching X3 on both my work and home computers and all I get is a white screen. It's a pretty white but not what I want.
The stills are cool looking though. So is this the story of the Phoenix or not? That is the big question I would love to know.

Juggernaut rox. the helmet and costume is much more realistic and just be honest with yourself how crappy would the big bucket style look on the silver screen?... i didn't think so! Stacy X is there and Callisto who is kinda cool....cept she aint got no eye patch!!! Oh well. Finally Pyro has stopped changing between films although Kitty has again. I was really hoping this film would have Iceman...well...icing up but I guess not. beast and Angel both look cool. And yes I think Avalanche and Gambit both have cameo appearances breaking out of a prison or soemthing.
