Thinking back perhaps I should have phrased my first comment better. I meant to say that a new issue of Geoff John's JSA comes out tommorow at you local comic book store. Sorry for any confusion, I really am.

I was wondering where that came from...! Thought you knew something I didn't know! And what an issue it was, too...! I will save my comments for the JSA thread in the Open Forum, though...

I didn't read it, I'm more focused on the Golden Age JSA, and I try hard to look for online stories based on their adventures.

That's too far away, can't you make it sooner.

I don't think Idle can make it any sooner and to be honest with you, with all he has to do, we should be lucky that he can get it out then. I know I am always anxious to read anything that he puts out (he's just that good!) and I'm just as excited about reading a new JSA as you are. However, patients is a wonderful virtue that we must all strive for. If we do not, we could end up sounding pushy and somewhat whiny, and I know I don't want to sound like that. Hang in there and enjoy what DC2 has to offer and before you know it, a new issue will be here. That's too far away, can't you make it sooner.

You'd have to ask him, and if he's not ready to, then that kind of means... Not yet. But just wait a while! It'll be glorious!

That sounds good. I still think you should speed up production on your next JSA issue. Please?

Do you have any idea of how much work Idlewilder does on this site? I'm sure he's trying his hardest to get the next JSA out, but he is under a tremendous work load. Give it a few more weeks, from what I've read by Idlewilder, it will be worth the wait.

Idlewilder, writer of Wonder Woman, All Star Comics, JSA, Hawkman and also the proud owner of a day job! Also stays up very late on Tuesday nights to post up the lovely stories we read! Wotcha! Keep it here and the story won't let you down.
You're actually lucky we do a JSA title! Not many sites do that and have such a talented writer as our bossman on the writing chores.

Yeah, I agree with everyone. You do the best Golden Age fiction around. I really can't wait for your next issue.

Say idlewilder, you must know alot about the golden age heroes, so can you explain the first Atom's atomic punch and atomic strength?

whats that idle? oh okay. i see... ryu he says, "By the late ‘40s, the advent of the atomic bomb had changed the public’s perception of the term “atom,” and where in 1940, those who even knew the word only connected it with something small and insignificant, the shadow of Hiroshima had permanently altered its connotation, to one of “power.” Accordingly, in 1948, the Atom received a new costume with an “atomic power”-looking symbol on his chest, and mysteriously began exhibiting heretofore unexplained superpowers, in the form of an “atomic punch.” In the 1980s, writer Roy Thomas would retroactively explain the superpowers in an issue of his WWII-era series ALL-STAR SQUADRON, as having been gained by Pratt due to exposure to radiation during a battle with the Ultra-Humanite in 1942." actually that is from moviepoopshoot.com/comics101/53.html if your interested

Ramon! You just earned yourself an Assistant Editor credit on JSA! The only thing I would add or amend, is that Al Pratt, thanks to the retconning genius of Roy Thomas, was exposed to the atomic radiation powers of the reluctant villain Cyclotron (Terry Curtis, forced into a life of crime by the Ultra-Humanite), along with the baby who would grow up to be the mother of Nuklon/Atom Smasher.

What I mean is, what exactly is an atomic punch? Could it be that the Atom charges up energy then releases it when he punches?

k, i looked around an all it says is that he gained super strength from radioactivity. He CALLED the punch his "atomic punch" and there were no charghing up of atoms of splitting of atoms or any thing like it. I mean, maybe there was, but it certainly never said in the comics because in the 80s, when the characters unexplained costume switch and new powers were retconned, poor ol' al prat just wasn't getting much print (him being from an older age and all*) so if he was, it wasnt to explain the specifics of what his powers did. if you'd like to check my sources, go ahead. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Atom www.geocities.com/Area51/Labyrinth/7393/wwatom.htmlmoviepoopshoot.com/comics101/53.htmlusers.cvalley.net/canote/atom.html

Take the times you've asked, multiply it by fifty, and then don't ask again. Then we'll tell you.
