Sorry Iam just kidding. I have been married for almost six years and I remember people telling me these kind of jokes. But it was usually my single friends who are all married now themselves. Marriage is actually really nice!

Hello! I was re-reading JSA #1, and I just realized something when I read this sentence:
-- Through his clenched teeth, Hughes spat: “I want their brains! I want to know what they know! I want to suck them dry, to become ultra…! They will help me build my DynaGun, with which we will force the nations of the world to their knees!” --
Ulysses Hughes is going to be the Ultra-Humanite, right?

You know, that issue has been up for a year, and you are the first person to catch that (but I really thought I was telegraphing it with the line you quoted)!
Indeed, Ulysses Hughes will be the Ultra-Humanite! Good catch, l17013!
As for how that happens--- well we'll all find out when JSA resumes it's long-delayed regular schedule in January (no fooling, carved in stone, gonna happen or I'll fall on my sword!)

Yeah, we want to keep him around... Also grab his axe just in case he starts making promises about Hawkman!
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to retreat to the Legion clubhouse before the evil monster known only as Irony takes a bite off of me!

Aw man... I knew it! The man's initials also tipped me off. Willhe be Dolores Winters or in the big mutant albino gorilla body next?

I saw that bit with Ulysses Hughes that 17013 saw quite some time ago myself. I just wasn't sure if you were going for the Ultra-Humanite or if you were going to bring Lord Dynamo into the mix.. Dynamo could actualy be a good protraganist if handled right.

Guys, it's L1701E. The letter E, not a 3. The 1701-E is the latest Starship Enterprise, so that's where it comes from.
