no exalt for George Perez! Eh, Frank Miller or Perez? I'll go with Miller, the true revolutionary comic artist. Now if anyone got some Eisner, they'd have got a MEGA exalt. It's true, but no one got it. Oh, and I got me a supercool hardcover for 300 and Jack Kirby's Silver Star! The former I had already read but didn't own and the latter was so awesome it blew my mind. At one point the protagonist fights and defeats the angel of death and there is a pinup penciled by Kirby and inked by JIM LEE!

I got a copy of Scott McCloud's Understanding Comics.
In the past, I found McCloud to appear somewhat pompous and overbearing. However, in this book, he's great. I highly, highly suggest it for both writers and artists.

Oh no no no no NO! To my mind, no one shall EVER surpass Pérez. Not only is he the best comic book artist of all time (short of Kirby, perhaps), but Crisis on Infinite Earths is certainly as revolutionary as DKR, even if it's much less appreciated! It boggles the mind how even now, Kirby is still underappreciated. Oh sure, people pay tribute to his Marvel stuff, but the King's real genius is in his own work, and so few seem to recognize it. Exalt! (On that note, I had a chance to meet Jim Lee at the only con in the entire country last month, but I was too busy getting signings from Mark Millar and Steve McNiven so I missed the chance!)

I went to my bookstore and picked up Legion of Super-Heroes: Eye for an Eye today! It's the story that told the death of Karate Kid.

Sweet, I always was curious how that whole thing went down. Karate Kid was the coolest member of the Legion to me.
I recently got League of Extraordinary Gentlemen vol. 1 and 2 as well as the Black Dossier all of which blew my mind. I don't care how much of a jerk people might find Moore, he's probably the best comic book writer of all time.

I disagree, Ramon, he's probably one of the greatest, but you've got to look past the 80s and see that without certain writers, there wouldn't BE comics today.

I just bought me the Tom Strong books #1-5 and Terrific Tales of Tom STrong #1 two weeks ago. I can't wait for book #6 and Terrific Tales of Tom Strong book #2 to come out. This was so much fun to read. Alan Moore's finest work I read so far.

JSA Vol 6: Savage Times
I got this volume after reading The Immortal Legend of Hawkman story. I guess that was the bases for that story
Plus I wanted more Black Adam collected stories.

I'm not sure, but I think Dave had based a lot of his Hawkman on a combination of earlier mythos, plus the earlier JSA stuff. I wouldn't say that Savage Times was the basis for the story, because Dave's had that story in him for a good long time, just waiting to come out!

I picked up Human Target: Strike Zones on the cheap, and I fell in love with the character again. Means he'll be appearing in a book of mine pretty soon. Ha!

Two new trades and none of them are Marvel. First Born (which has some of the best artwork I've seen from an artist that is doing great work on Witchblade. Hey Catsmeow! check out Witchblade...that book is all about girl power.) JLA: New World Order

Superman: President Lex, Human Target: Living In Amerika, Vimanarama and Fell: Feral City. Beautiful. Eh, Frank Miller or Perez? I'll go with Miller, the true revolutionary comic artist. Now if anyone got some Eisner, they'd have got a MEGA exalt. It's true, but no one got it. WHAAAAAAA? Oh no no no no NO! To my mind, no one shall EVER surpass Pérez. No, no, no Crisis on Infinite Earths wasn't revolutionary! It was an event, epic even, but it wasn't revolutionary, not on the same level as DKR. It was an event book, probably the best ever written, but what did it revolutionize? George Perez's art was beautiful. His Teen Titans stuff was revolutionary, but that was part and parcel with his collaboration with Marv Wolfman. In my opinion.

Its the hardcover version with the Ethan Van Scier cover from the Sinistro Corps War issue one. They should of done a new cover of it. I loved the series and I can't wait to get the next one.
Plus it's one of the wife's favorite books. So Ebay and Amazon here I come.
