Hey fellow posters!
If you're anything like me, then you love reaading comics. Heck, I bet you even got a few trades lying about. So, what's in your trade collection? And what's your favorite ones? Why?
I myself have a trade collection. Personally, I'm a huge fan of old-school Marvel and DC. I don't know why, but old comics appeal to me. Anyway, here's my collection:
Bongo: Simpsons Comics: Jam-Packed Jamboree (Funny story how I got this one)
Other: DC/Marvel: Crossover Classics IV (One of my first trades)
DC: Batman: A Death in the Family Batman: Knightfall Parts 1-3 Crisis on Infinite Earths The Death of Superman World Without a Superman The Return of Superman Green Lantern/Green Arrow Vols. 1 and 2 Superman: The Man of Steel Vols. 1 - 4
Marvel: The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 2 - Revelations The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 3 - Until the Stars Turn Cold The Avengers - Celestial Madonna Avengers/Defenders War Avengers: Galactic Storm Vols. 1 and 2 The Avengers: Kang - Time and Time Again The Avengers: Living Legends The Avengers: The Morgan Conquest The Avengers: Supreme Justice Avengers: The Serpent Crown The Avengers: Ultron Unlimited Avengers: Under Siege Avengers Visionaries: George Perez Avengers West Coast: VisionQuest Fantastic Four: The Trial of Galactus Fantastic Four Visionaries: John Byrne Vol. 5 Fantastic Four Visionaries: George Perez Vol. 1 Iron Man: Armor Wars Iron Man: Demon in a Bottle Marvel Super Heroes: Secret Wars The Spectacular Spider-Man Vol.2 - Countdown X-Men: Days of Future Past X-Men: The Dark Phoenix Saga X-Men: Phoenix Rising Marvel Masterworks: The Amazing Spider-Man Vols. 1-4 Marvel Masterworks: The Fantastic Four Vol. 1 Marvel Masterworks: The Uncanny X-Men Vols. 1-2
It's a big collection, and it's still growing.
The one I like reading a lot is Living Legends. Busiek's writing and Perez's art is always good, and Under Siege is another personal favorite. Supervillains being competent makes for great stories.

I only collect TPB's of comics that I love and don't want to man-handle too much. So, I have many GL TPB's, a few Batman, The Crow, JSA, Hawkman... that's about it.
Just bought Marvels Civil War... have to say it was interesting, but I found myself not cariing at all. Spider-Man was written like a clingy pre-teen, and he was the only character I was really familiar with. Captain America was really extreme, I thought, and Iron Man, though his intentions were good, really just seemed mis-guided. Are those characters all written that way usually? If so, I'm glad I'm a DC guy.

And returning the X-Men in the a race...I meant genetic minority again. I just picked up the X-Men Civil War TPB. Nothing really earth shattering there. Just a series that didn't really matter. The X-Men are truly an island on to themselves. Anything that happens in X-Men doesn't to the Avengers, like some one whack Genosha. So when Kang levels New York, Spider-Man is still whining about his life or the fact that he is married to a super model. But to me, Iron Man is President Bush. Now I just think that Iron Man an @$$hole. But that is my opinion. Mischief

But I think its silly to think that Marvel is the only company that makes screw ups. Continuity errors happen in both companies. For example the changes made to Joker in Batman #663 aren't acknowledged in Countdown. And I am still confused how Supergirl is hanging out with the Legion of Superheroes and in the 20th century at the same time. @ darthsylly: yeah Supreme is pretty kick ass. Its like Bizzaro-Watchmen.

I love Iron Maiden. I have all my Maiden stuff in plain view over here though so I don't see how you have it in your basement. Especially my 13 inch Eddie figure looming over my room wearing his Killers stuff with a Green Lantern button (thanks Scott!). I think you are lying chief... that's just my assumption though. Yeah Charlie, I figured that much. Thanks for sparing us the details.

I wasn't saying that DC is perfect, far from it in fact... for anyone attempting to read Flash, or Trials of Shazam, you know what I'm talking about! I do think Supergirl & the Legion is building up to some kind of big reveal.
Anywho, as a whole, I thought Civil War was weak compared to the last few DC events.
And your welcome Ramon!

*looks over at bookshelf*
I have...trades...like way too few to count! Of the more uncommon ones I have are Street Fighter Ultimate Edition and Pride of Baghdad Hardback (only hardback I have). The rest are all popular DC books like Flash and TT.
Do you guys even think about how much money you've spent? I know I don't want to!

Do you guys even think about how much money you've spent? I know I don't want to! Well it would depend on what I see in the Previews book. Normally, about seventy-eight bucks plus shipping. But when I see certain things, like the Justice League League figures, the Marvel little figurines and the Woman of the DC Universe bust, then I'm spending more. The most I spent in one month was three hundred and my wife was pissed off too. And if I won the lotto, look out. I would be searching for original artwork. And then the wife would kill me and say to you all, "Now you got a dead artist on staff here." Mischief

You know, I keep wanting to pick up Dark Knight Returns...
Wow. It seems like a lot of people here have various kinds of trades. ;D
You know, I've become a fan of eBay as of late. It's a great place to pick up trades that are out of print. I've had nothing but good experiences with them.
I wouldn't mind picking up Born Again by Frank Miller and David Mazzuchelli. I also would like to get the Kree-Skrull War trade. And I reallyshould get more DC trades. ;D

I have a ton, but right now I'm in the middle of Y the Last Man, Walking Dead, Authority, Invincibles, Planetary, and I'm trying to collect all the Chuck Dixon stuff of Nightwing and Birds of Prey.
Also in the middle of collecting Waid's and John's Flash series'.
I have all the Fables in trades (best series out there right now), and Queen and Country as well.

For Hitman I have Who Dares Wins, The Ace of Killers, and Local Heroes. I might have another Hitman trade laying around, I'm not sure though. First three Preacher trades, next month I'm picking up the rest. Kingdom Come, Watchmen, the first three Sin City trades, DKR, The Knightfall Trilogy, Superman: The Dark Side, Azzarello's run on Hellblazer, (bit of a waste to be honest) Hellblazer: Haunted, and I'm picking up Dangerous Habits later this week along with the rest of my pull list. I'm probably forgetting like, five or six but I'm to lazy to go check.
