I like spectating, I'm a turn based game nut. RPGS, RTS, love it.
If Sony HAD more consoles then they'd have as much backwards compatability. Will EVERY single game released for a Nintendo console be available? Because that's what you get with PS3.

The only thing I could think of that would restrict backwards compatibility would be the rights to the game by the programmer (which is why, sadly, thanks to a stubborn company like Rare, there will be no downloadable Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, or Banjo Kazooie).
However, I bet by the end of both consoles' life cycles, there will be more games downloadable on the Wii's virtual console than on the PS3.
Other than Sony and Microsoft's games, Nintendo pretty much has the right now to distribute all NES and post-NES console games.

See it's the downloadable thing that annoys me slightly. I know it's stupid to want Nintendo to include a NES drive or something but with my PS3 I don't have to re-purchase my games library. Do they have all the GB games for download as well?
I would also want the SNES and NES games to be dead cheap, like the same price as iTunes tracks, as you can download roms for free and unless it was DAMN cheap I wouldn't want to buy them. Maybe if they threw in some credit with the Wii too.

Anyway...
Yes I do still support the Wii, yes I am boycotting Sony for releasing the monster formally referred to as a "PSP" and closing in on releasing the abomanation known as the "PS3", and yes I am gonna trash talk you PS3 supporters (following the rules of course). First off, the Wii is a next-gen console. I'll bet even Ramon will tell you that. Second off, the PS3 is not an original name... it's just PS2 with a new number and PC (please note my next comment for an explanation) with a different letter and a number. Thirdly, the PS3 is not a gaming console. It's just a computer that has to link up to your TV to work. Fourth, as my friend Darkknightdetec states the Wii's motion sensitivity is lightyears (yes I do know that the term "lightyear" refers to length, not time) ahead of the PS3's. The PS3's is only sensitive to tilt. The Wii's detects all motion. Take Red Steel for example. You can perform sword parries by swinging the Wii-mote (isn't that name so cool!) over your head. Can you imagine doing that with a BOOMERANG?(yes, I am slandering the PS3's controller, DEAL WITH IT!!!) Yeah, ME NEITHER. Fifth? I don't know I lost count. Any way the DS can link to the Wii (random, yes, but do I care?, NO!!!). Any way, back to trash talking. I'd much rather play Super Mario Bros. for the NES than some of the games for my DS. I never cared about graphics (though they do help). Also I can't list a lot of Wii games (too many) but they all look better than any of the PS3 games I've seen (on G4. VIDEO GAME TELEVISION!!!). That's all I have, may you sap my information and cause a debate so I may trash talk you more!

Hey hippo, do you actually read any of the titles on the site?
I mean, it's all well and good to post in this thread (like 30 times), but maybe this converstion is just a bit peripheral...?
Let us know what you think of the DC2! Read some issues and leave feedback. Talk about comics, at least!

no its not next gen, its a gimmick.
and if i were to walk into a room with a person swinging around the little "controller" as if it were a sword, i would not think, "Oh how fun and cool this looks, i can't wait to get my hands on it." i would say "Oh, how sad and pathetic this looks, I can't wait to beat this guy up." I am not even going to touch the fact that you can't even count how many "points" you made in that "rant". Oh, and how can you say the ps3 has a poor name when nintendo named their "new" system a three year old [and under] name for P I S S ! wait, i guess that is kinda appropriate for what it is and who it is for.
and i agree, i would much rather talk about comics, thanks d.

For those who feel like they need to know, I mainly post on this thread because: First, I have no life. Second, there's no other thread where I can trash Sony. Third, I'm usually to lazy to start my own thread. And finally, I'm trying to think of something to do to help the comics, 'cept I stink at art, and all the good comic ideas have been taken... That's the reasons.

The cool part about DC2 is that there is something for everyone here. The best thing of course is that there are hours (maybe even days) worth of incredible story's to read and fantastic art to enjoy.
So there is no reason to feel you have to do anything other then enjoy the good stuff that's already here!
