Too bad. I'd love to see an ep where the producers pay tribute to the Giffen-era League. That would have been pretty cool, 1701. The did a pretty good Booster Gold ep, but they couldn't use Blue Beetle because of some rights complications, something to do with a radio drama or something from WAY back when. It wasn't just the radio show. The rights also got tied up with a couple 1980s cartoon proposals that never went off the ground, I believe. The rights'll be freed up again in 2007. But by then, they'll use the Jamie Reyes Blue Beetle, not the more well-known Ted Kord Blue Beetle.

Anyone else seen Grudge Match yet? Great episode.
And of course, the Question has the best line.

Which ep is Grudge Match, Doc? An older one or a new one?
I just saw "Patriot Act" which is one of the as-yet-unaired in the US eps and man oh man oh man. VERY cool.
We see a little Golden Age to start with an adventure of Spy Smasher to start, and follow up with a great fight between the Seven Soldiers of Victory and.... ah, I'm not telling.
The line-up for the Soldiers is Shining Knight, Crimson Avenger, Stargirl, STRIPE, Vigilante, Green Arrow and.... well, I'll just say that the issue of how the Teen Titans continuity ties into the JLU's is finally resolved. ;D

It's two episodes after Patriot Act.
Roulette returns for revenge and Black Canary is in her sights. Can Huntress save BC, or does she still bear a grudge against her?
Villains United fans, take careful notice of Catman at the begining of the episode!

Squee! More (and the last, sadly) Black Canary!
The SSoV episode sounds really interesting, especially by the note of Speedy's being there. Is his look at least vaguely the same as it is in TT?

It actually appears to be the same Speedy except he's grown up. Like Ramon said, same voice actor even.
That would lead us to believe that the Titans is set in the past in the DCU Animated continuity. Something that is added to by the fact that Robin in TT is Dick Grayson and that Kid Flash had the same voice actor as Flash (Michael Rosenbaum, my old college buddy! Well, sorta. Okay, we walked to a part once, sheesh).
Since we first saw Batman as a loner in the first series with Dick already away at college that would make Teen Titans a prequel to all the other Timmverse shows. But that also means that if they hadn't cancelled them would could have realistically seen a grown up version of the Titans: Nightwing, Flash, Speedy, Tempest, etc.

then i ask you this, why is gothams looking like the 20s with old fashioned gangsters and cars and the titans fly around in hovercrafts and cyborg is a well... cyborg? it doesn't add up.

It's just stylistic. The Batman series isn't actually set in the past, it's a modern telling. They just gave the series an Art Deco look to make it have more of a noir feel (just like the Tim Burton movies are German Expressionism from top to bottom but not really set in the 1930s Germany). This is also back before they planned on all the other series and when they could get good and artsy with what they were doing and not try to make it fit with other pieces. The superman show had an overall style which was a bright retro futuristic. As did Batman Beyond and Teen Titans both have their own. The least on thematic style is Justice League and that's just because it isn't pratical and would be impossible to do with some many different characters and settings.

Plus all the tech on Titans is Cyborg's. So who's to say that it's any less plausible to have future tech 5 or 6 years (guessing on those numbers) earlier in continuity?

the same voice actor as Flash (Michael Rosenbaum, my old college buddy! I love how in the Great Brain Robbery, you essentially get Lex Luthor and Flash combined, voiced by the guy who does both characters!

Flash (in Luthor's body) leaving the restroom. Dr. Polaris: "Ahem." Flash (in Luthor's body): "What?" Dr. Polaris: "You gonna wash your hands?" Flash (in Luthor's body): "No... 'Cause I'm evil."

Could you put a spoiler warning next time? That episode hasn't aired in the U.S. yet. Thanks, darkknightdetec

Has anyone seen "Alive" yet? It was great but I wasn't too surprised at the ending. I can't wait for the last episode. This should definitely be a three or four part arc.

I'm caught up through 'Grudge Match'. Really cool ep and I couldn't help but think of the first New Outsiders arc here. Woo! All Girl Action! Ha, but the funniest part had to be Huntress's phone call with Question.
'The Great Brain Robbery' was good too. Again, a rogue Flash loose in the Watchtower is always cool. And it was crazy because it was Flash possessed by Luthor with Flash voice by Michael Rosenbaum but pretending to be Luthor as Flash, and considering he's also the "voice" of Luthor on SMALLVILLE, well, it was nuts.
When do they start showing these on Cartoon Network? Is it tomorrow night? I'll have to check on that.

I watched three more tonight. Great stuff ahead: the Legion, lots more backstory on Carter Hall, and a big, big shocker at the end of "Alive!"

Well, I'm guess I'm the only person here who waits for the episodes to air. "Flash and Substance" was great! Best line:
Flash: Hey, when you're done with your drink, turn yourself in, okay?
Trickster: Okay! Got me again Flash!!
I am so happy JLU is back on!!
