It was just announced that they are running the Justice League reruns on Boomerang. This seems to be the game plan for them so far. Stick these shows (all the Timmverse animated shows now I think) on their step-child network so they get people to pay for it too on whatever crazy tier pack they'll have to sign up for to get an oddball channel like that. And everyone else who doesn't have access to it or doesn't want to pay extra for it has to go out and buy the DVD boxsets (which they seem to be releasing in hurry these days). Once again, a prime example of WB knowing exactly how to milk the fanboy market. It's the entire reason DC Direct exists in the first place. Don't get me wrong. DC Direct puts out some really cool stuff that really gives the fan base great products they otherwise would never be able to have the chance to purchase. But it's that WB is so crass about how they approach the collector's market. I mean, what reason is there that the Batman boxsets are almost twice as much as the Superman ones? They give the same amount of product from the same time period with probably the same initial productions costs. It's just that they know they can get the higher price from the Batman fans so they stick it to them. Pfeh. Well, actually, it's the Superman fans who are getting ripped off there. They package the STAS boxsets with about 18 episodes each, and they make 3 sets. The BTAS boxsets come with a full 28 episodes each (29 on #3). They could easily make 2 boxsets out of STAS, but they want you to buy more, so they make it into 3.

Did anyone see last night's episode! What a great episode!!! At first, it seemed like this was going to be a mediocre episode, but once they went after the Shadow Thief, things really started to heat up. I really felt the flashback was the strongest part of this whole episode. There was some really nice diologue and some REALLY nice storyboarding in that sequence. Even the ending where Hawkgirl goes to Batman was done really well.
This season and the last season pumped out some of the best episodes of any series EVER in the Timm Universe. There was really great stories all across the board. Justice League is easily in its prime right now. Which makes me understand even less why they would want to cancel such a great show like this. I understand Cartoon Network might not be the perfect place for this show, but one really good place would be as a Saturday night show on the new network "The CW". Justice League, being more of a drama and less of a superhero cartoon in the traditional sense, would do perfectly among younger and older viewers on a channel such as this.
Well, if anything, it looks like Justice League, and the Timm Universe as a whole, will be going out with a BANG!!

This would appear to be the final version of the look of the upcoming Legion of Superheroes cartoon (and the only confirmed future project for DC animation). Looks okay I guess but will have to see it animated. Since when did Brainiac 5 become the spunky youngster?

How about Superman telling Darkseid telling about exactly how much he was about to cut loose on him? Awesome. Very sorry to see this series go.

Almost a relief to see a more traditional design on Robin on that pic, Ramon. Ha, like I watch the show or something. They lost me awhile back. Here's the much talked about Superman Cuts Loose scene from the JLU finale. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ywo6F4xYTvA

This is going to be worse than Teen Titans! ...This show had better have good stories. Although I doubt it. The thing with JLU is, the PTB expected the show to be a success, but they didn't expect who it'd be successful with. They expected the show to be for kids, but they didn't expect it to be popular with adults, too. Why not? The stories were good, and the characters were treated well. JLU got cancelled because even though the show was a hit, it was hit with the wrong audience. We have to keep in mind shows like Teen Titans, The Batman, and this new Legion cartoon, they want a KID audience. They want 9-year-olds to watch it and identify with the characters, not adults who read the comics. They don't want people who read the comic to watch this show, because those people will not buy the action figures that shoot little plastic projectiles.

So why not put it on Adult Swim? No, that would make too much sense for CN.

It's a grown up animated show with child sensibilities... AdultSwim would be an ideal place to put JLU...

I wanted B:AS to do animated versions of classics, and I want to see STARRO in Justice League... Imagine a feature film with the STARRO invasion of the JLU universe... epic.

They kind of cut themselves out of a Starro ep when they showed the future JLU in Batman Beyond encounter the creature/s.
