don't worry, I get it, totally. The only thing in the last couple of years that has really ticked me off with GA (and BC by association), is that they had him cheat on her again. Once he came back from the dead he really was like a different person in that aspect and then another writer comes in (who shall be nameless) and bang (no pun intended) he's being a real cad. That so pis#%d me off.

Lol, honestly, I never really even liked Ollie, but in retrospect, I think it was due to the writers than the actual character, only coz when Dinah was around him, she somehow became the typical second-stringer eye candy female, instead of his equal.
But yeah. I really do like Meltzer's Ollie though - as shown in IDC in any case. (I haven't really read much of GA?)

I hear what your saying. There for a while it did seem like she couldn't do anything around him. It was really bad in the seventies when she guest stared with him and GL. Not so much anymore, I think, thanks to Gail! That's also something that I'm staying away from in my New Outsider's run. She is her own woman and can hold her own with the best of them. Actually all the women in that group can and I love the book for that reason. Very strong female role's.

Well in all honesty it's pretty easy at this point. Idle has already got the ball rolling and he's such a good writer that I'm just trying to keep up the same standards that he has set for these characters. But yah, I think we're on the same page too. LOL ;D

Cab fare to the Metropolis Mall: $19 Coffee for three at Starbucks: $10.66 Finding the last of your 80's era action figure with shoulder pads at a mall kiosk: priceless.
This book has the ability to cast the illusion that you are reading about people who really exist, have jobs and lives that go on between the panels...
Another great job by GS...

Alright all you bird fans!
What did you think of this last issue? I thought it was pretty gutsy the major changes that were made. I also thought it was done brilliantly. Have to admit that I wasn't expecting it at all.

Oy vey. Huge changes, but they were very well done. I loved the scenes between Babs and the Commish - incredibly amazing. I'm shocked with what Gail did with Savant - especially since I was really starting to like him - but it was very well written, overall.
Two solid thumbs up. :-D.

Oh no, I meant it in a good way. I really am revved up for the OYL event.
The only thing that worried me is when she said that "a Canary" would still be working with Oracle. At first, this freaked me out - coz it could mean that it wasn't Dinah - but then something else hit meeh - the Witch Canary dream that Dinah has during the Student and Sensei arc. I wonder if Dinah - along with Shiva's training - really does become the Witch Canary.

Yeah, the Canary comment thru me as well. But I like your idea, I had forgotten all about that. One of these days I've got to pull out all my old issue's and just have a BoP fest. ;D

Lol. The idea of a really fierce, kick-@$$ Dinah kinda tickles me. Well...the idea of Dinah in general just tickles meeh anyway, but still, lol.
I know what you mean though. This morning, I pulled out the Hero Hunters arc, just to read through it again. Gail, man. I love the hell out of her.
