What'd'ja think of last issue, huh? I am swiftly becoming a Gail Simone devotee. She has single-handedly created the most consistently entertaining title in the DC2 (though Ed Benes and Joe Bennett have helped); the gang that BC assembled to take on the brothers was a neat concept, and really highlights her own place and standing in the legion of DC martial artists (plus her internal monologue makes her probably, the best written character in the DCU--- any arguments, there?)! Anyone else think that, after the last page of this issue, that the future holds a new role for Babs? Coincidentally, and this was planned weeks ago, before I read this issue, the Barbara Gordon Batgirl is the version we will be using in the DC2 title, The New Outsiders.

Gail's a class act all the way. And I'm consistently impressed by her respect for her characters and continuity. She also takes great pains with her research. Normally, I read a title for the hero, and follow said hero regardless of writer. Gail's titles are the only ones I follow for writer, regardless of hero.

Issue #88, what did everyone think? SPOILERS*********** I was a little worried about how the GA/BC scene's were gong to go but I should have known better. I didn't think it made BC weak at all. Only thing that gave me a chill was Babs thought's about giving up Oracle. I really don't want to see it happen. And I've grown to really like Savante so I'm hoping he isn't on his way out. Anyone else?

Oh thank goodness! Whew! Ok, much better. <turns on light again>
Will you be getting your book soon? I really hate to tell someone what is happening. They should have the joy of finding out themselves. But if you want, I will. I will say that, as always, it was an extremely well written and entertaining book.

Haven't read it yet. I usually get my books on a Wed or Thurs but hold them until the weekend. Then turn on some music after everyone is in bed and just hunker down until the early morning hours. Occasionaly I can't wait and will read one or two right away. IC, Birds of Prey, and Green Arrow being the main three.

yup, it came out Wednesday. It looks...interesting. I sort of flipped to the last page. Saw the picture but don't understand it yet. Now there's one of my really bad habits. I flip to the last page before I read the books.

LMAO. I do the same thing! With novels too, I somehow end up reading the last couple of sentences first?

I do that too, although i do it because I hate surprises. If I know where it's going i can admire the way the writer acheives that in the story. and because I'm a filthy cheater in school and have not read a book in its entirety since the seventh grade.

Lol, sadly, no. I wound up not being able to go to the CB store this weekend. Hopefully hopefully hopefully sometime this week. I'm dying without my BC fix.
And yeah, I seriously can't wait for the next Supergirl either.

you know who should get the axe in IC dinah lance. shes had a good run time to let dead dogs lie eh? Ramon!!! How can you even say that. The pretty bird is one of the greatest female icon's of the DC universe!!! Second only to Wonder Woman, and maybe first in others opinions. She really is probably the sexiest, and strongest female character in comics today. IMHO.

I seriously just had a heart attack.
Dude, they can kill of anyone in IC. ANYONE.
But not Dinah. (Or any of the Birds, Zatanna, and Linda Danvers for that matter.)
(Yes, yes, I am obsessed with Dinah in a most horrible way, and I probably need counselling or something akin to that, but maybe that won't help either? This is a character I have loved since I was 6 years old.)

Well let's just skip over the whole obsession thing, shall we, LOL. I think we all have our own personal one's when it comes down to it....except me of course. Nope, not one hero that I obsess over. No sir..... which reminds me, I've been meaning to switch to a different pic of Ollie, since I have several hundred to choose from... lol

It's like...she's very sacrosanct to me? I kind of have the same thing. With Dinah. Except there're too many to choose from, so I'm good here with this pic for the time being.

Seriously, I understand what your saying. There has always been something about GA that said something special to me. Maybe it's the way he will always fight for the underdog, or go against the grain if he really feels that there is an injustice that needs to be corrected. I love the fact that he is unafraid to give his opinion to anyone who will listen or won't. He's the kind of guy I wish we had in american politics today. (Not wanting to start a ploticial debate folks just musing over my obsession)

Duuude, I totally get you there!
With Dinah, it's like, the woman's been through so much crap in life, she's gone through so much pain and strife and confusion, and yet, at the end of the day, she's standing strong, unaffected, and still kicking butt, still being happy, still keeping her life completely together. She hasn't become bitter or angry, but more...warm-hearted, in a way, as time's gone on.
Or something.
It's kinda sorta hard to put into words.
