Black Adam is a pimp. And one of the coolest characters right now in the DCU. Pure antihero in a way Wolverine wishes he was...!

I like Wolverine in Wolverine: Origins, but elsewhere he's just... Boring. Except in Astonishing X-Men!

Y'know... a thought occurs regarding this Booster Gold/Supernova thing. But it's sooo spoilerific, I have to break out the inviso-text© (highlight to read):
Booster Gold and Supernova are the same person from different Earths (like Breach/Captain Atom, PowerGirl/SuperGirl). That's partly why Booster has such a personality conflict with the guy. It may also explain, in part, why Booster's future is changing so rapidly; if one Booster is screwing with time, imagine TWO!

So what is everyone's take on 52, at this point. What's everyone liking and/or not liking about it? Very interested to hear some opinions on the major undertaking.

shocked? devistated? irate? ready to storm the castle?
actually, they killed a Booster. I'm not totally sold that Booster is gone for good.
What about the other stuff. Isis and Black Adam? Question and Montoya? Ralph and insanity?

Last issue I bought was the Ralph Dibney screw fest that was #14... I think. But I'm enjoying it all. Ralph recovers because he's with Detective Chimp and someone else on a future cover. I'm not invested emotionally in these characters anymore, because... Well... DC2 are screwing some stuff up, but I prefer, if I know they're screwing up, to write the characters how I see them, not how they're showing us.

I'm enjoying it so far, although in quite a low-key sort of way. I find it more pleasant than exciting. Having said that, it's nice to see Isis back after all these years (and, if the DC podcast's to be believed, there's some characters turning up later on who I'm also looking forward to seeing).
I thought the death of Booster was handled really badly (which makes me think he's not really that dead after all) with the end of the issue carrying no surprise value whatsoever after the cover and the announcement that somebody would die in the issue.

Yeah, the: Booster Gold Memorial Issue kind of gave that much away.
Plus there's just too much mystery revolving around that mysterious blackboard! Didn't it say that he was the cause of the time snafu's? He'll be back in some way, shape or form!

It felt like Booster was killed just when his story started. Apart from Booster's death, I'm quite enjoying 52.

Booster definately got screwed, but I don't think we've seen the last of him.
I repeat my assertion that Black Adam is a pimp.
For the most part, I am enjoying this series, especially the Kahndaq stuff (not so much the Cult of Conner hooey, though). But I, too, feel that something bad is about to happen to Black Adam.
On a different note, I think that the Marvel Family was horribly portrayed last issue. I know that Cap and BA have had a detente for the last couple of years, but honestly! Black Adam has been ripping people apart with his bare hands, playing judge, jury and executioner and setting himself against the rest of the superhero community (not to mention what he did in Black Reign and to Atom Smasher). And somehow Billy Batson, possessed of the wisdom of Solomon, sees fit to attend his wedding?!?

Ihave only read the first five issues so far, (thank you drdread for another awesome link). Did I hear that Alan Scott is part of checkmate now? Forgive me I am way behind because I have'nt read much since Infinite Crisis, but I thought I heard he was being written out of character a lot lately. I wonder if it is intentional. Maybe he will be revealed to have part of someone else's essence or somethig like that from the accident in space during the crisis( or has he and I just dont know?).

Maybe Booster picked up a marketing tip from DC and Marvel. He faked his own death and will make a triumphant return. Could be they would do this to poke fun at themselves for doing this kind of thing?

Well, my friends, this marks the halfway point for this foray into weekly comics. I'm interested to hear what you all have thought about the first six months?
What is your favorite storyline?
Your least favorite?
Favorite cover so far?
Favorite character?
Character you have liked the least?
Biggest surprise?
Weakest surprise?
anyone... anyone...

Sometime during 52, *something* happens to Terra II. This leads into a TERRA miniseries that will feature a totally new Terra who is not her.
Which leads me to beleive she is amongst the dead, or something equally horrible. If so, DC2 will be the only DC, and the only comics at all, I do from that point onwards.

What is your favorite storyline? I quite like the Island of Dr. Morrow one that's going on at the moment. I have to say that I was quite glad when they offed Booster, because I wasn't finding the superheroing scenes with him in that interesting. I thought the Halloween one was cool. My favorite characters are the ones rescued from obscurity. I especially liked seeing The Blimp, and also Tawky Tawny and a new Super-Chief. Booster. Isis turning up. Booster's death.

Well my favorite storyline is probably Black Adam and Family
The Montoya/Question storyline. Hasn't really tripped my trigger yet.
There's been a ton of great covers but #1 is still my favorite
Black Adam
For me, probably Batwoman. Of course we've only seen her twice.
Skeets is evil was pretty surprising.
Boosters Death (if he really is...)

Will Magnus is growing on me, surprisingly, but I get a kick out of Adam Strange (he's got no eyes but he's still got it!)
Steel. Natasha being a naive idiot just grates me.
I'm torn between Week 8 (Steel) and Week 13 (Ressurected heroes)
The Question! He has all the coolest moments, but right now, not the coolest story arc!
Natasha...
That DC didn't take advantage of Batwoman's publicity and have her appear more. Weird eh?
But more seriously... SueCrow moving around!
Uh... Nothing obviously "duh, no" yet... Ok, Black Adam so easily turning good. He's like "Isis, I love you, no more kill kill for me!" And I don't like it. It won't last.
And I'm adding one!
Boss Manhiem (Sp?) was so freaking scary with the ol' face to book routine! And Egg Fu was like... A massive terrifying egg-gone-off!
