Anyone else fans of the new series?
The Christmas special is coming out this week and let me tell you I couldn't be more excited! Santa's with flamethrowers and we get to see the new Doctor (David Tennant) in action. Fantastic!
The new season shouldn't be too far behind with such cool newly revived characters like the Bryan Hitch-updated Cybermen and The Master! Woo!

Bryan Hitch had nothing to do with the new designs of the Cybermen, and The Master was a rumour that has yet to be confirmed.

Really? He was the conceptual artist on the 1st Season and the new Cybermen design looks a LOT like his Ultimate Iron Man. Of course, I'm not of the UK so I'll defer to your culturally innate fan knowledge on this one.

I LOVE THE DOCTOR! DOCTOR WHO IS AWESOME! I am a Brit and am sad to say the only series of Doc that I ever had interset in is the knew one, probably coz Im only 16...but I guess the whole point was to bring in a new fan central. Anyway I cant wait to see the new look of the Cybermen and K-9. Anyone whos never see it I highly suggest it, the stories are built upon so well, its Sci-Fi at its peak. Also its educational, it teaches how damn scary kids in gas masks really are.

It has been a great show so far. I certainly hope they don't bring K-9 back though. And yeah, the gasmask kid was truly scary. Three days till the Christmas special! www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/

I only watched the first season. It was very enjoyable (especially after memories of Fox's version). I haven't seen any episodes of season two yet, I'll have to check broadcast times.

WOO! Awesome episode!! Great to see many of the main London characters back in play on this one. I'm not quite sure about the new Doctor yet, but I wasn't sure about Christopher Eccleston (did I get close on his name there?) at first either and wound up loving his Doctor. I could be really accepting of him if he took to wearing a big wacky scarf. Great stuff in the story. U.N.I.T. just doesn't seem to be having much luck on the new series. These guys get offed faster than Buffy characters. A bit of a surprise about the Prime Minister there too. I guess history has altered somehow. And didn't I hear something about there maybe being a Torchwood spin-off show? Any chance that we'll get to see Captain Jack Swings-Both-Ways on that show? He's a great character and deserves a show, and I'm sure all the guy kissing will be a hit in the slash community. ;D Nice preview bits. Little K-9 did look kinda cute there so I guess having him in a little for old time's sake wouldn't be so bad, but please don't make him a regular! Face of Boe shows up AGAIN. For a big ole face in a jar that guy sure gets around. And was it ever confirmed that Anthony Stewart is going to be The Master? He looked pretty cool and evil in the quick shot at the end so I think he'd be great in that part. Now I have to wait for new episodes!!!

For any of our non-UK members interested in the show, SciFi Channel is going to debut the new Doctor Who series here in the States on Friday, March 17th!
It's a very cool show and a breath of fresh air from the endless amount of Stargates and other post-Star Trek era shows. Having this and Battlestar Galactica on the same night will be a new benchmark in sci-fi on television! Be sure to check it out!

Why? You've seen the whole first season already right? We're just getting caught up to you folks across the pond. The shows tonight are the first two eps of the new series. Of course everyone's probably going to see V For Vendetta but me...

Saw the episodes last night, and they were great! Really enjoyed them. Had to laugh at the last "real human" on the second episode. At least we know what Joan Rivers is going to look like in another twenty years.

Ha! Very true. Glad you liked the show, Brian. Stick around for the whole run as the entire season is pretty solid. They build on their own continuity so you have a number of reoccuring characters. Expect to see the Face of Boe a couple more times at least!

New DOCTOR WHO tonight! It's a pretty good one so it would be a great jumping on point for anyone still curious about the show. I don't want to give too much away, but if you are a Charles Dickens fan tonight's episode is for you!

Really good episode. The more I watch, the more I really like Rose. She's an excellent companion for the good Doctor.

Right. Because any show effectively in it's 27th season is completely without merit. Thanks for trying it out though, Ramon. I realize it might not be for everyone, but I think it's definately on the level of Buffy, Smallville, Farscape, Battlestar Galactica, etc. for solid contemporary Sci-fi/Fantasy shows and well worth encouraging others to watch.

Oh yeah, for any "Shaun of the Dead" or "Spaced" fans, later in the season, Simon Pegg!
